Yeah try starting a chemical production business, or even being an amateur chemist - and even in relatively liberal country like mine, it's already pain in the ass. I could provide HUGE value making everything from dyes to specialty and fine chemicals that are virtually unavailable locally (everything made in China), but the bureaucrats won't let me. This is why me and I my girlfriend plan to leave to Paraguay or similar country. Just so we can live a normal life, do our work and fullfill our dreams (not dreams of some ultra-privileged social engineers).

I just started reading "The Theory of the Leisure Class" (V. Thorstein, 1889) and it just fascinates me that a whole class of society evolved and was known even back then - people who don't provide actual value to society and focus on attainment of status and "conspicuous consumerism" instead. I am not saying they have it easy, it must be horrible to constantly fight for status and prestige as there is huge competition. The issues of status and prestige have already been pointed out in Le Bon ("The Crowd", 1885) and these books hold to these days. It's chilling that one can obtain understanding the mainstream is yet to discover, it's also enraging because I know people will go after Bitcoin like crazy when sh*t hits the fan and it will inevitably cause pain to me and my close one despite all the preparations :(

Thanks again- the great austrian economists, Menger, Mises, Hayek, came from Austria, spoke German and as far as I know, Mengers English was on the same level of Albert Einstein, which was in between bad and funny. I do not think that your guest was talking about the very nature and origin of money, but interesting anyway. Money started as a accounting system in our brains that was not bound to a material, but as the groups that took the adventure to move from Afrika to Europe and Asia, the groups became bigger (obviously > 100) and finally the accounting was linked to something (it was materialised) in order to be remembered/not forgotten in large groups and societies. So money that is bound to matter as Gold, was only an interim solution until Bitcoin enables to go back to the roots of the personal accounting system in our brains (the 24 words) and at the same time it works perfectly in a global group of 8 billion humans.

Theres a large bulk of people who do not understand economics at all or where they do, its only the official jargon taught to them, and so these people need to be and prefer to be lead. They get their ideas from the establishment. Even anti establishment spokes people are only as good as the understanding they have inherited. Very few are motivated to get to the heart of the matter. Again Bitcoin is the revealer. Because when the antidote comes into view, suddenly you can no longer unsee what you have seen. Bitcoin raises understanding.

As a Boomer I enjoy hearing younger people talk about the overwhelming economic issues our country faces. I’ve been screaming that the sky is falling since the Dot Com era … mid to late 90s but no one my age would listen … I think they put too much faith in our government. And we can’t say that 10% we getting pay and 90% is taken. But I see what he mean. But taxes isnt just money taking from you, it gives back to you, so you have roads to drive, healthcare, school, education and so on. But I agree that you keep to little of the money you earn. The biggest steal of our money is inflation and printing.

Great conversation guys!👍👍 I’m old enough to remember that if you worked hard you could be compensated by earning a living wage! But the in the 2000’s I fell victim in my late 40’s of the financial crisis that happened in 2006-2009 it became very clear that if you don’t have deep capital pockets or close to the money printer we are very Fucked! Opportunities became very scarce! Everyone was convinced that if you failed it doesn’t matter what’s happening with all the government interventions! 😮
