I buy mstr and the fidelity bitcoin etf fbtc . I hodl them in my Roth account . So when I take out my distributions in retirement ( cash out my profit ) I don’t pay any taxes on my capital gains . I still get btc market gains or greater but I don’t have pay the taxes . I hold enough capital in my Roth that I have been able to buy mstr and fbtc with the profit I have made over the years in the sp500 . So I have do not have to use money from my earnings which are taxed right out of my paycheck. In other words I buy mstr and fbtc with tax free money . I can’t do this if I just bought bitcoin in a crypto wallet . I would be buying btc from money from a taxable source and I would have to pay taxes to the government in my bitcoin gains if I held it in a crypto wallet . My Roth account is being turned into a bitcoin atomic reactor .

That's fine if you fully trust your government. But if you should still learn how to self-custody. If anything seems off, put it on your cold wallet immediately. Taxes are cheap when compared to confiscation.

@ You can’t put mstr stock in a cold wallet . If you buy mstr they have the custody of the bitcoin but I still enjoy the profit . When I buy fbtc fidelity holds the bitcoin but I get to enjoy the profit . The government won’t be be able to confiscate my bitcoin they will have to confiscate mstr and fidelity bitcoin . Which they won’t be able to do . If the government can confiscate mstr and fbtc bitcoin then they can take everyone’s bitcoin . This may sound funny but I am a smart savvy boomer investor that has found a way to buy and hodl bitcoin and avoid paying taxes on it . I am buying mstr and fbtc with tax free money and I am not starting from zero .

Microstrategy has already split 10/1. As the price of MSTR rises, more splits are coming. It MSTR gets included into the SP500, expects the split runway to make you incredibly wealthy. The business model pivot is classic ‘something new thinking’ that is found in all TML’s. True market leaders.

I believe that Bitcoin _absorbing_ much of the world's investment capital will just be a natural thing. Commodities, real estate, precious metals, etc. will always be held by many people, but why will anyone not he holding Bitcoin? BTC isn't something that's been around for just 2 or 3 years at this point. It's obviously proving itself to be the #1 place to secure one's wealth.

I am also a BTC maximalist, I avoid it maximally. My gains on other projects are disproportionally higher than anything BTC could have given me since I started investing. Granted, if I started back in 2013 I would have done better with BTC, but I entered the market much later, so BTC is no longer the biggest fish investors can catch. Now its big juicy tuna time!

Yeah, yeah yeah, proof of work. But ultimately the earlier the work the more rewarding it is, fundamentally it's a Ponzi. 2010 energy expended earns 1000s times more than the same energy in 2020. So all work is not equal, earlier work is WORTH more. And 2010 work will be worth 10000s more than the same amount of energy expended in 2030. block reward is half every 4 years or so yeah, yeah, yeah. It's one giant pyramid, the earlier you get in the higher up the pyramid you will be. Meet the new system, just as dystopian as the old one. Souch hype around Bitcoin. Good but if people don't understand why and how then it will ultimately fail. If BTC needs to be custodial (to use practically- for many low value transactions, cup of coffee, ease of use, not having technical n specialized knowledge, etc) and people don't demand full reserve banking, and don't have limits on derivative/debt stacking, insidious gov regulation , etc....then BTC becomes useless and a huge waste of energy. So far it's not looking good for BTC.
