Your sea glass wreath turned out beautiful! It was so smart to paint the wooden ring with the gorgeous turqouise color you chose; it really allowed the sea glass to shine. You've inspired me to try this project myself!! Like you, I don't always have a lot patience, especially when I just want to craft and relax. If you decide to make more of these wreaths, here are couple of glue options I've had success with that are less finicky and messy than the E6000: #1) Starbond CA Glue + Activator [The CA Glue comes in different viscosities from super thin to thick and it works on every surface possible. Once you apply the activator, the bond is instant! ] #2) UV Resin in Crystal Clear "Hard" formula + UV Light [ Comes in a Squeeze Bottle in a premixed formula. Apply a drop of UV Resin to your pieces of sea glass and then place it under the UV Light for 30-60 secs and it's cured. You can move on to your next layer of sea glass and easily build it out because the first layer you secured acts as a stable foundation. You can turn, lift, tilt, and angle your wreath under the UV light in whatever position needed, to keep the glass in place while it cures. You can apply the UV Hard Resin with a toothpick, paintbrush, silicone tool, or whatever you have on hand that fits into the tiny spaces you are working with. The paintbrush can be cleaned with acetone or fingernail polish...or thrown away if you want. You can really control where and how much resin you apply, so it won't change the finish of the sea glass.] #3) Beacon 3 in 1 Glue [ Offers a solid bond that gets a good grippy hold within a few minutes and fully cures within apx 10-15 mins. You can use a blow dryer to speed up the drying. Thank you for sharing your creativity with us! ~~Christy~~🥰💚💙💚💙

Hi Christy!!! Thank you and I’m happy it inspired you! I do all kinds of uv resin stuff but wasn’t sure it would cure through. Will have to try that next time. Thank you for the other glue ideas! That e6000 is messy! Appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment!! Happy New Year!
@CALB200910 сағат бұрын
@@TamsCreativeCorner Happy New Year! Yeah, E6000 is a great glue, but it's definitely messy! When I have to use it, I generally run a bead of it, and then right next it, I run a bead of hot glue. The hot glue doesn't interfere with the E6000 curing, but it gives me the instant hold I need to keep crafting! The hot glue sort acts like a 3rd hand or clamp for me. I have a "fine tip" on my glue gun. 😉 Since you are covering up the wooden wreath with sea glass, you could first paint a light coat of UV Resin on it, cure it, then start bonding the sea glass pieces on it and you'll have no problem getting an amazing bond.

these turned out really beautiful, i love it !! 💟 i've been planning on creating one out of the flowers i preserved from my grandma's funeral 3 days ago. would you suggest using the bezels or the jewelry mold instead? thanks in advance! 🤗

Thank you and I love your idea! It’s really all preference. The bezels give you the frame look but are a bit more limited in size and shape and depth. The molds have a lots more options but you may have to clean up the edges after. Either way it’s a beautiful idea!

Do i need to sand down the acrylic painted surface to make sure it is flat before the epoxy pour? I did a dutch pour on a wooden table top which has dried lumpy and clumpy.
@TamsCreativeCorner6 ай бұрын
Hello! Sanding might scratch up your paint. It may be difficult to resin unless you do several layers. It’s hard to know without seeing your actual project. Best of luck!

Hi, this is Joan from Australia. Your work is beautiful. 8 have had 2 failed cheeseboards. Everything flows in and ends up muddy and you can see the board underneath. The pigment is very transparent.Could you please tell me if l use acrylic paint and resin how much paint to resin in each small cup do l use. Thank you for listening. It’s expensive making mistakes with resin 😢
@TamsCreativeCorner6 ай бұрын
Oh thank you! It’s so hard to give advise without being hands on. You can use acrylic but your resin may cure faster. Maybe practice with different pigments on cheap wood before trying the next cheese board. Lots of trial and error with resin! Thanks for watching

Very pretty and inspiring! I'm just starting out in this art form at the young age of 69 and have just done molds so far but am going to try my hand at sculpture but would like to know from someone with your talent how much resin did you use for your lovely sculpture? Thanks so much for sharing.

Hello, you make it look easy but I am so struggling. Mixing the resin just like the instructions says. I started pouring and so far it was looking good and glassy until I heard you say you like to put your hands in it so I did and it runner everything to a sticky rough mess. Waiting to see if the glassy look will be back once it’s dried, but otherwise please explain what we need to look for or stay away from when we follow your advice to spread the resin with fingers. Sorry if I sound rude but I am pissed off at the moment…
@TamsCreativeCorner7 ай бұрын
Hello! Sorry you are having a frustrating experience! I’ve had plenty of those times too. Resin takes a lot of trial and error. All resins are created differently and cure at different rates under different variables. I only use my fingers while the resin is still very runny and hasn’t began to set up. If you need to fix it, you can allow it to cure fully and while wearing the proper safety gear sand it down and pour another layer. It’s hard to assist without being in person because of so many variables, but know that it takes practice and I’ve had my fair share of pissed off moments 🫶
@taniadangtran13597 ай бұрын
@@TamsCreativeCornerthank you so much for taking the time to reply to me, what happen if I don’t sand it ?
