Wow! Thank you for this! I’m trying to do a few resin projects in my house and have been getting overwhelmed. So many people give their tool picks but they don’t always make sense. Especially when I’m not going to be selling stuff. Your list actually sounds helpful. Think I might just have to subscribe. Hmmmm…😎🤗😎

Do i need to sand down the acrylic painted surface to make sure it is flat before the epoxy pour? I did a dutch pour on a wooden table top which has dried lumpy and clumpy.
@TamsCreativeCornerАй бұрын
Hello! Sanding might scratch up your paint. It may be difficult to resin unless you do several layers. It’s hard to know without seeing your actual project. Best of luck!
@hsulinboyd146Ай бұрын
@@TamsCreativeCorner thanks for the prompt reply. Just wish i could attach a photo…but i'll give it a go with the epoxy resin…maybe do 2 pours….just don't fancy a lumpy coffee table..Cheers!

Hi, this is Joan from Australia. Your work is beautiful. 8 have had 2 failed cheeseboards. Everything flows in and ends up muddy and you can see the board underneath. The pigment is very transparent.Could you please tell me if l use acrylic paint and resin how much paint to resin in each small cup do l use. Thank you for listening. It’s expensive making mistakes with resin 😢
@TamsCreativeCornerАй бұрын
Oh thank you! It’s so hard to give advise without being hands on. You can use acrylic but your resin may cure faster. Maybe practice with different pigments on cheap wood before trying the next cheese board. Lots of trial and error with resin! Thanks for watching

Very pretty and inspiring! I'm just starting out in this art form at the young age of 69 and have just done molds so far but am going to try my hand at sculpture but would like to know from someone with your talent how much resin did you use for your lovely sculpture? Thanks so much for sharing.

Hello, you make it look easy but I am so struggling. Mixing the resin just like the instructions says. I started pouring and so far it was looking good and glassy until I heard you say you like to put your hands in it so I did and it runner everything to a sticky rough mess. Waiting to see if the glassy look will be back once it’s dried, but otherwise please explain what we need to look for or stay away from when we follow your advice to spread the resin with fingers. Sorry if I sound rude but I am pissed off at the moment…
@TamsCreativeCorner2 ай бұрын
Hello! Sorry you are having a frustrating experience! I’ve had plenty of those times too. Resin takes a lot of trial and error. All resins are created differently and cure at different rates under different variables. I only use my fingers while the resin is still very runny and hasn’t began to set up. If you need to fix it, you can allow it to cure fully and while wearing the proper safety gear sand it down and pour another layer. It’s hard to assist without being in person because of so many variables, but know that it takes practice and I’ve had my fair share of pissed off moments 🫶

Thabks for doing this video, its really useful to me as a beginner. I realise you said you were uncomfortable doing a video this long with this much focus on you, it was only the outtakes and your comment in the title that told me that. You really did a great job, and you will have helped so many people with this!

Hey Tammy, I just wanted to THANK YOU so very much for all of this wonderful info! What I have been searching for was a with ALL tools + supplies needed to start up a new studio and dive directly into projects without needing to stop every 5 minutes when you figure out the next tool you need. Then you mentioned your Amazon page, and even that other LOVELIFE place with the sick Xlarge silicone mats and the exact bottles I had on my list! This was so very perfect, you literally gave me a at least a couple of weeks worth of info, plus countless frustrating moments in 1 day. I noticed you were from Denver too. I lived out there 09-19, but a crazy head injury and brain tumor forced me to move back to family in Michigan to recover... To make a long story short, not only did the injury save my life from what would have been a fatal brain tumor, but during my 4 year journey of recovery via and lonnnnng meditations and inward healing, I discovered an absolute affinity with all things ART. It truly is, and will remain the greatest overall experience of my life, and I couldnt be more thankful for that, and you! I only mention the meditations and such, as thats where my artistic side was discovered. Everything in my life is appearing in synchronicities, and I am using them as jumping stones to move through this new reality at my own lightning pace. So, when I saw DENVER, I smiled subscribed, and pulled out my journal without exploring, and lookie what I found! Again, Thanks so much fir the massive help. My site is currently under construction, and will be found at 22spirals .com, can't wait to share more too :)

Thank you for this video. It is the best/ most informative video that I have watched on this subject and I watch every one that I come across. I am now a subscriber.! You are also a great instructor - you include your reasoning behind decisions and share so much information. My contribution to this is: Unicone Art makes a gel cleanser for hands. It’s a pump. Labeled as a ‘magical resin remover’ And It Is! I highly recommend it. It’s great. If you get resin on your hands at all, this is the best way to get it off. It is not harsh like alcohol. Really. Try it. (I have no stake in this whatsoever) but please try it and tell us what you think. Thanks again.
