the original one is like a fable, but this one is like a proper spiritual connection with nature, y'all get me?
@learlirАй бұрын
@@Charlie_the_nightfury to me the original is like round-dancing in the field near the river with your friends on a warm autumn day, and this one is like coming to this same field but at night and alone, with only a chill breeze to keep you company while you dance and sing.

@learlir18 күн бұрын
@@StrawberryCream323 sorry for replying too late, but thank you for the kind words! means a lot to me, especially considering that English is not my native language. I am actually writing a story right now but it's in my native language, and VERY far from being completed, but maybe someday it will be :з as for some writing advice: 1) read A LOT. especially when you're only starting out as a writer. when reading, mind the craft - the overall style, the pacing, the vibe, and how exactly the author creates those. the length of the sentences used for different scenes, lexicon variations for each characters, punctuation, all that. note which you like and which don't go with your flow. I recommend starting with the classics or renowned contemporary works ("New York Times bestseller" often means the opposite, though😅). for example, one of my inspirations is Ursula Le Guin's Earthsea series. in the beginning your writing might look like a patchwork of styles that you like and copy unconsciously, but with time and practice you will develop your own writing style. 2) about practice, by the way: WRITE. WRITE A LOT. got under a warm spring rain and saw a rainbow? describe every detail of it, every drop, how you felt them on your skin and how they trickled down a fresh green leaf. that guy on the bus stop looked like he could easily fit into some sort of novel? well, it's up to you now to make a drabble with him. daydreaming a badass OC animatic to a really cool song? write that down write that down!! the ultimate way to learn things is practice, and a lot of it. these are the two universal advices I would give. it gets individual from here, really. I'm not really good with setting deadlines for myself, while they work for other writers. some may write their novels linearly, some may not. the most difficult thing is to start actually writing, and you'll figure out the rest from here. hope this helps, and good luck with writing!
