They may not admit it, but why do you think they have spent SO MUCH MONEY on getting Lewis Hamilton in a Ferrari. Leclerc is one of the fastest drivers in F1 today, but he has the bad habit of falling off the track when about to win a race.

All true F1 fans know not to look at lap times for testing, but him running that many laps is a good sign. But you would be crazy to think Lewis would step aside for someone on his team to win a championship. Honestly these pirelli tests are showing very positive results for Hamilton. I wasnt really expecting much at all especially considering the migration from mercedes and how huge that move is. Not from a F1 news perspective, from a aclimatisation view, adjustment, reorientation, familiarity with the machine especially. F1 driving is defined by the stats recorded in microseconds. At those levels of analysis, I was not expecting Hamilton to post anything worth talking about because he would have to work through so much in order to get a groove going. So Im really surprised. Not because I doubt Hamilton ability but actually because maybe I have underestimated how great he is. I am a Sir Lewis fan. I would always just side with him. This time I wasnt even engaged with being a fan at all. I am really thrilled actually because I DID see that a huge blast of energy and excitement around him has been ignited. As a South African I believe the best course of action would be to utilise the current facilities at Kyalami and then move the event over to Cape Town once a purpose built circuit is made. From a tourist and global interest perspective, Cape Town is a much better fit, it just currently lacks the required infrastructure
