+@colinchils5329 D-FEML is not built from a Buchon. It is Bf-109E W.Nr. 1983 that went down in a marsh near Murmansk, Russia after being downed by Soviet Hurricanes on 24-Jan-1942. The restoration was expertly built by Mr. Charleston in the UK while the wings were built in Germany.

Very difficult finding a video that gives you a tour of the INTERIOR of helicopters in general. Luggage space? Passenger experience (seat adjustment, view, heating, etc.)? All videos just go round and round the exterior. To be fair though, we did get a short view of the instrument panel, but not a view from the pilots point of view.

Fair point, I will keep the pilot side in mind. Thank you for your feedback. Any helicopter I see, I try to complete my documentary. Cockpit, Luggage compartment or even engine view is of course not always possible depending of location and time. On some videos I display that. More to come 😉

The inverted V engine allowed 95% of the engine maintenance to be performed with the mechanic standing on the ground ! The inverted V engine allowed a 30mm cannon to be fired through the spinner. The wings could be removed and the airframe could be towed on its gear. With only 86 octane fuel the engine made more horsepower/per cubic inch than a P-51 burning 150 octane !!!!!! Least complex and most practical airplane of all WW2 fighters. 4 carburetors on a P-51 is an embarrassing joke. Maintenance nightmare ! And, it shut the engine down when inverted.

That was a very cool video I was really watching closely how he had to put very little input into the flight controls to get the helicopter to do what he wanted it to do. Wish I could have been in the front seat with him😊

As a German-American 🇩🇪🤝🇺🇸 I cannot stand it anymore when the swastika is censored off of a historical Luftwaffe Jagdgeschwader Fighter !! The swastika in “Old German” was actually referred to as der “Haken Kreuz ♣️ “ which translates to English as “Hooked Cross”. By the way, many of Hitler‘s Deutsche Luftwaffe Ace Pilots later proudly served and literally re-built the West Germany 🇩🇪 Luftwaffe.

+@@christianwentzien1106 The swastika was explicitly banned by the Allies in 1945 when the party was abolished. The ban is still law, although updated to include other symbols and also relaxed some for museums and education. Not allowed on flying aircraft in Germany, though.

My company almost bought two in 2012. What killed the deal was no ability to haul a fuel bladder. The Polish engineers at PZL were not willing to design an installation. Deck is too high to lift heavy cargo, not possible with a forklift, we thought maybe a small telextender would work on some items, but anytime there is empennage and lift equipment interaction, there can be serious damage. Otherwise bust your butt lift by several guys or build a ramp and install a winch in the airplane and drag an engine or whatever that way. Anyway, PZL wanted $8M for a Cold War AN28. Sikorski was their U.S. rep, and war plricing was in effect. Nice little airplane, but short sheeted on the cargo end. Our use was short unimproved strips supporting remote mining operations. Baby, there ain't anything out there anymore, other than C47s and Baslers. C82s and C119s are all used up, same with C46s. A few C54s and C118s, but that's not feasible anymore.
