Thanks for the reply. Yeah, i was thinking the Same... Even tho focus dps wise got buffed, warhorn only really gets better survivability... But iirc axe was only used for its "2" anyway, since the Auto is kinda lackluster...

@@felixpwny6794 focus buffs would have been awesome if it weren't for the fact focus 4 can't crit and focus 5 is too situational, I'd have loved to see a reversal in the way it works, doing more damage to boonless foes. That would make it a good power weapon but I'm already happy to see reaper doing good damage so ill keep the whining to a minimum for now ^^

Even tho on certain encounters it might be tricky due to damage taken in shroud means less dps... but the new "3" damage absorb in shroud will definetly help with that. And yeah, focus is wayyyyy to situational sadly... but hey, a buff is a buff after all those years :)

Hey, for the wells it's really something you need to get a feel for, it's the same as using a skill just before weapon swapping, you wanna go as fast as possible without cancelling it. Practice your skills using their state of the arts golem and if you've got any inquiries ask in the Snow Crows Help Desk discord server, the good folks of necromancer channel will be happy to help you out. for gravedigger spam you need to hit the skill at the right time during the cast of the previous one, it's once again something you need to get a feel for. What I did was do a rotation till 50% then practice spamming gravedigger for the rest of the golem. Don't do it too long or you'll hurt your hand though. I don't have the precise math of shout vs signet anymore in mind but it is rather insignificant iirc. The issue about sacrificing dps on a bad class like reaper is that you're losing more proportionally and you really want to take all you can get with such a low benchmark. If you want pointers to what you can improve sending a log to me or in necro channel of SC help desk is the easiest way to help you

You need to get a feel for it. Shroud is like weapon swap, it takes priority over every action you take and will interrupt everything. The reason why the first one always goes smoothly is because it queues nicely with gs4 and then the second well also queues with it. There really isn't any magic tech to it aside from practicing. Using well of suffering->well of darkness allows you to quickly check if you interrupted the second well though, if you see the little squiggle black snakes going outwards when you enter shroud it means you casted it, otherwise you didn't and you can try again. Btw I don't really mind answering here but if you have other questions/are struggling with anything else I'd advise joining the SC Help Desk discord server and asking/sending logs there, I and a lot of other people will happily help and give pointers

For me it feels like (no matter order) the first well casts almost instantly meanwhile the second one's cast takes longer, When i watch your video it seems like both of them cast equally fast and you have no issue entering srhoud and casting both in about 2s. Thats how it feels to me atleast, i might be talking bullshit tho :D

Infusions are 1-2% more damage. Did you apply boons to yourself and condis to the golem? If so send a log here or over on the snowcrows discord in necro channel and I or someone else will have a look. It's linked on the website

they both do like 100 dps, heal skills don't make a difference run what you like just remember that pressing it is a dps loss and will almost never actually save you

both fine, scourge more usable because of range and no need to avoid damage in shroud. Shout is like a 300-400dps over signet, so no real difference there

There is no design problem, tanking with shroud makes you lose a huge amount of damage so there is no reason to be punished with low damage by default. The real problem is a balance team that has never cared/been competent enough to buff reaper in a fair way or accepted to make it broken like every other class has been at one point or another.

Still relies on combo fields, has a very slow ramp up and is overall weaker than stuff like harbinger or other condi classes

hey, it's about the same for both but your soul is mine doesn't heal you passively. Just run whichever you want but always remember that pressing your heal skill will very rarely actually make a difference in your survival and always result in a loss of dps

hey, I believe you're confusing death's charge with soul spiral, and for the damage it deals: it usually does anywhere from 62k to 72k for me (give or take). The first one here was a pretty good roll on weapon strength. The very high ones like 85k+ are only attainable when the boss is below 50% health so that's not possible on the first one. As for why you can get as low as 50k, check your gear, do you have infusions, do you use food, do you have all boons on you and all condis on golem, check traits

it doesn't, damage is much worse and it has a cast time as opposed to golem. Because of this you need to compare it with golem + whatever skill you'd be using at the same time. That makes cttb extremely underwhelming, only ok in open world for the boons

yo, I went over this in the reddit post I wrote but the dagger buffs are nowhere near staff dps atm. It poses a few issues to run dagger: you do less damage than staff (around 16% less dps) and that's assuming you only press 2 and 3 (which is the length of your normal staff loop). If you do anything else, you'll lose a lot of dps because dagger autos are terrible compared to gs skills with the gravedigger resets and everything. 2 and 3 also don't give life force while staff marks do. The other big issue is weapon strength. Shroud uses the weapon strength of your currently equipped set and using a dagger means having about 100 less weapon strength than all two handed weapons, losing you even more damage in shroud. Dagger is simply not a good alternative to either staff or gs because of the massive difference in dps. It's also worth noting that right now life force is a complete non issue since gs got buffed

@@scwestet Thanks for clarifying this :) I was really hoping the damage increases would be enough to synergise well with the life force generation of the auto-attack on dagger. Do you think it could at least be viable in fractals where you typically absorb a lot of damage from instabilities or just the sheer number of mobs attacking you?

@@kajhall3581 I mean it's going to be worse for sure even in fractals, you can run it if you want but the thing is if you get hit by multiple enemies you likely cleave them all too giving you more life force from marks, gs1 gs3 gs5. I don't do a lot of fractals these days but I'm fairly confident dagger isn't the play. On a slightly different note, I'm fairly confident reaper isn't the play but that's another discussion

@@scwestet Lel yeah I've tried reaper a good couple of times since they changed shroud 2 to be the main source of damage and it just never comes close to being able to spam gravedigger as the reliable and actually decent dps method. I'm really just trying to smother it with optimism with the hope that something good will come from it... Maybe Anet is trying to do that as well, buffing random, stupid things on necro in the hopes that someone will find a way to make their bs changes viable because, in the end, they have no idea how to fix reaper :(

I know I'm bashing instanced reaper as something that has historically never really done well in raids or fractals... but the changes to shouts have actually made pve open world roaming amazing. I can actually play condi dps reaper in open world with the extra quickness on chill to the bone now. I love the changes... I just wish I could take it into end-game instances and not feel like I'm play no-shroud necro but with a gs XD
