I bought them, tested them for 10 days, tried EQ, but ended up selling them. They are very comfortable and made quite well, especially considering the price. But sound is unbalanced. Too much bass, there is also an unpleasant peak in the upper mids.

Really sorry to hear that. I'm really getting tired of HFM QC lol. I've had issues with EF600 and EF400. I thought that crap was in the past but apparently, they insist on resurrecting 2019. Looking for open or closed?

bought it from Ali express the cups fall with the first use. the vent above the cups one of them is not stable. left cup have buzzing sound with high bass and the headphone have little sound imbalance. the bass is good and well balanced for me I don't know why some users said it is bassy. the texture is so good even better than HD 560s which I have. sound stage is good too. that's my opinion. I am not audiophile at all and didn't use it extended time. tried it with fiio k5 pro ess. and btw the cable is good quality but microphonic.

As well they should. I'm so damn tired of companies releasing piss-poor, overpriced trash and then getting mad at ME when I don't shill it. This is why I like FiiO. They make good products at fair prices. They have been releasing a bit too much for my liking lately, but guess you can't have everything. They need to chill with all the stupid dacs, but again, i like their BTR series so whatever i guess lol. I just think the BTR13 and 15 didn't need to be made at all. BTR17 is a good product.

Most is being mastered out at 44.1/48. Tidal might but upsampling isn't really real I don't think. Anyway, none of this matters compared to wav vs. loss. Sure it's 4.5x more storage and bandwidth, but it's worth it if rare. CD's are enough, though expensive. I doubt Tidal does 1,411/2067kbs.

Oh yeah bois 😎 💪 Stu is back with the review I was waiting on. I have failed to pick these dummy thicc cans up, though 😔 I heard the bass slaps about the same as Zeos' Eris collab and that the Kiwi Ears Division slaps harder than both and only costs a quarter of the price of the FT1 which is about half what the Eris costs. I have the Eris, and they do slap, and while I was watching your video, my Kiwi Ears Division were delivered, so I'm about to find out if they do indeed slap harder than the Eris. I'm honestly not really sure why I even care, as I typically don't listen to music with heavy emphasis in the bass region. Only on some occasions. I'm a classical, jazz, OST kinda guy with a sprinkle of blues here and there. Mainly jazz. Words Mr. Wordsworth. Good to see you posting vids again! So don't stop! How's your grandkids?

Really great video. I do have a pair of these. The sound is bass heavy, surely agree. The good news is whatever app you use to listen to music, you can adjust the EQ there (I adjust mine on Spotify, Apple Music has an EQ to adjust your music). Battery life, accurate, it's short and I charge them once a week give or take and I only use them in my house (I use other headphones for the gym). The ear cushions you are right about, they will tear after a certain time but more good news. You can replace the cushions with Bose QC35, they fit perfectly. If you want brown, just search Wicked Cushions Bose QC35 and you'll run into a brown pair. These clamp perfectly for me as I deal with ear issues when flying and I only did a quick flight from Phoenix to San Diego and it helped but longer flights I'm concerned because the ANC isn't Bose, you get what you pay for. Supsoo can make improvements but you definitely have to take care of these as I have scratches on mine and a small piece chipped off the side. Great video and I want another pair, they're hard to find now and they definitely could've made more colors.

If you are referring to specifically the Dac chip itself then you are technically correct for Delta Sigma Dacs (DSD) only; R2R designed DACS do sound differently and will easily pass a blind test for most people with good hearing. Now when you refer to the Dac device as a complete unit that is well engineered as a whole and built with quality components and quality power supply (comparing DSD chip dac vs DSD chip dac) then yes there can be small differences that are audible. This is especially true when the Dac is connected to a resolving system. That being said if your just looking for a dongle DAC then any decent one will do with difference mainly being how loud they can get; apple dongle DAC will do just fine for $10. When comes to desktop DSD chip Dacs it's pretty much the same thing so something like an smsl su1 will do fine and you'd need to step up very high up in price to get a marginal improvement so not worth it in general. As for R2R desktop DACs these are amazing but they are also generally more expensive. In summary DSD chip dacs have huge diminishing returns once you hit a certain quality and price point (i.e. smsl su1, Topping e30 lite, Shiit Modi). To really see a noticeable jump in performance R2R Dacs are where it's at but it will be pricey/

I went with the FiiO KA11 USB Dongle Dac it was cheaper and cause I have an old iPhone with lightning. I couldn’t tell if the IFI Go still ships with the lightning accessory. It is becoming harder to find lightning accessories. Your advice that all Dac are much the same gave me confidence to try the FiiO dongle and I just ordered a usb c and lightning adapters separately. Your headphones advise I follow it has definitely lead me right.
