How did the Buick GS lose have its value in 10 minutes? Because you washed and cleaned it? I highly doubt it. If it is a real GS stage 1- pulling the engine and replacing it with a modern LS engine would cause a value drop for sure. Sounded like you had a spark plug out of the head and running it. Just saying. Dp

It was a joke that went over many peoples' heads about cars with barn dust still on them being worth more. Also, there was a dime sized hole in the exhaust port of the head.

Adam, in your opinion, do you find that the pillared sedans like this LeSabre have more wind noise at highway speeds than the hardtop sedans such as the Centurion. My dad always preferred the hardtops. Said they were quieter on the road.
@antiqueautomotiveservice3 күн бұрын
I don't have much experience with the pillarless hardtops in this body style. I actually thought the pillared car would be quieter. I can definitely tell you they are a more solid ride.

Only the small series 57's had actual 3 piece. There is one model of the Roadmaster in 57 that has two stainless pieces going down the glass to simulate the 3 piece glass. The Roadmaster 75 is not that model, though.

@@antiqueautomotiveservice Every time I try and post a link in your comments section it gets immediately removed. Everyplace that sells those parts has no idea where they go or how they work. It says they are hold downs. How does it hold down? Where does it hold down? I have searched forums about this part and everyone is asking the same questions and no one can give a definite answer. Just guesses of how they work. I bought these thinking I was missing them because that chrome cowl trim does not sit flush to my windshield like it should. I enjoy the videos. I would look for the Magnum rims Buick used back in those years. My Granddaddy Lott always drove Buicks, the last on he had was a 1992 Buick Regal. I’ve become somewhat of a Buick fan myself, although I have always liked the Chevies. My wife has a 2012 Buick Enclave and we had a 2007 Buick Lucerne before it got totaled and the insurance companies wouldn’t do anything to help us out. I know those Buicks ain’t the same as the ones of yore, but they are nice for what they are.

I like the way patina looks on old trucks and wagons. THAT car should look sharp. When a stage 1 pulls up next to you at a red light, you look at the badge. If it's crusty, you feel bad for the car, and you might stand a chance when the light turns green. If it's clean, you better have your act together
