I really appreciate your attention to detail and organization. I have always liked detailing and my go-to product for cleaning plastic and painted metal parts is dollar store charcoal lighter fluid. It cleans well and leaves a very light amount of oil which buffs out well. I even use this product for cleaning wiring and harnesses. Charcoal lighter fluid is also a great product to remove glue residue, like on bumpers and trunk lids to remove bumper stickers and/or their glue residue. Another product which I use fairly frequently is mink oil paste, which I can usually find at a local farm and feed store for around $3.99 for a small tub. This product goes a long way and is excellent for conditioning leather and vinyl interiors, vinyl tops and I have had good luck with this product adding flexibility to old wiring. Another use for mink oil paste is bringing life back to rubber, such as door and trunk lid gaskets.

Cool way to hold bolts to paint . I have a 65 RIV non ac bought a new heater core for it . Turned out it’s for a different year-hose fittings on wrong side of the top of the core . - found out that 63-65 only.

I actually use cardboard with holes punched in it most of the time... I just had the heater core handy and it worked really well for holding those fasteners.

Always enjoy your vids and the great work and detail you do. My dad had a 1959 & 1961 Invicta convertibles back when they were just everyday cars, wish I had the ‘59 today…. 👍

Does that paint have to be engine/high temp. paint to keep from cooking & peeling? Do the parts need primer?

Cool video.....I like the heater core idea to paint the bolts..... I've been using old cardboard and punch a hole with a pick tool, to the proper diameter of the bolt.... Adam, have a great Holiday !.. Steve

Thanks, you too Steve! I use the cardboard trick too. Had these cores laying around from a couple recent jobs.
