This is exactly right.perfect! Well…. In Texas you got like 15 mins before you remove the forms because it dries so fast.

I appreciate that it’s a cheap fix by buying a whole new cheap $10 valve; however, shouldn’t we be buying the specific part like that white seal or diaphragm around the top part of the valve? Sustainability instead of increasing garbage and shoving it down into the ground and wishing for the best isn’t great long term. Look at where we are now. All we’re doing is creating more garbage by throwing out the old and buying new. I suggest purchasing a diaphragm or white seal valve to replace the existing one that is compromised. It might cost the same amount of money but it’s really better for everyone that way.

Like remover , soap scum remover, and also bleach. NOTHING IS WORKING. I will try this . If it works I’ll be happy. I don’t want my bathtub to look like this. A year later n it may get lighter but problem never solved. I will try this next time

using 2x4's how do I frame in and make a screened in porch, just 3 sides will be screened , using 4 ft wide screen?? and a 2 ft or 1 ft and 1/2 kick plate so mylil dogs cant push on the screen. Should I stud it up on 2 ft centers so I can staple the screen wire to it every 2 ft
@MrKistel4 күн бұрын
When working with screen I have always liked using the metal framing that is typically available at home centers.

Thank you. I actually did insulate the ceiling but may have not shown that detail in this video. This house is in a region with a mild climate year-round so additional insulation in the floor was not necessary.

If your old compressor still works and is a newish type with inlet and outlet valves, you can use it to recover the refrigerant by closing the outlet valve and running the compressor to suck and condense most all the refrigerant into the outdoor unit, then lock it up by closing the suction valve. Perhaps a shop will then take it away for free since that older refrigerant has value. In my case, all the refrigerant had leaked out. Mr Cool should have stepped up and replaced the leaking evaporator and paid for a recharge since none of that was your fault. Shouldn't have been any air in the system since it never lost pressure and the Mr Cool parts come with evacuated linesets and condenser, thus their special fittings. Can get a cheaper system where you suck down the lines with a vacuum pump (~$70 Amazon). All outdoor units today come with precharged refrigerant you release after a leak check and vacuuming the lines and evaporator.

Lets work on better hand placement while striking nails. Nails can curl and do funky stuff. As you see in the first clip you split the board and these nails like to curl. Only takes one time to ruin a nice work week. Safeties also make nail guns less safe, cumbersome, obstruct view and require too much pressure to fully seat.

when dod you remove the 2 by 4, next day?? and how many days you have to drizzle the new concrete slab
@MrKistel7 күн бұрын
In this case forms were removed the next day. Some say to keep the fresh concrete pad moist for up to a month and some do not worry about it at all. I usually try to keep a wet surface for a week or so for this type of application.

Pouring on top of dirt and wearing ear muffs and a mask makes me Question your ability to lay down some concrete… sincerely a Union concrete finisher
@MrKistel13 күн бұрын
The mask is for when the bagged concrete is mixed. The dry cement dust is very fine and goes airborne and is not good for your lungs. In fact, the local concrete precast facility is required to have a full time water truck driver to drive around the plant spraying water on the ground to keep any residual dust from going airborne. This is to protect the lungs of their employees.

@MrKistel16 күн бұрын
Sure a toggle switch can operate a ceiling fan. An average fan does not draw too much current so adding one to an existing circuit is likely not a big deal.

It probably cost more in materials mixing the cement by hand over ordering a cement truck. Cheaper in labor cost though. Nice work.

You might be able to find some smaller pieces in a box kit at big box home warehouse stores.

When you only add the amount of water stated in the instructions it seems very dry. Adding additional water makes it easier to work with but may weaken the overall concrete strength.

To all the people spreading misinformation, 1.these are precharged lines that do not require vacuum or pressure testing. 2. They do not catch on fire. You may do something stupid like wire it wrong but even then, they are no different than any other electrical appliance. If your not comfortable with some aspects of the install, hire someone to do that part such as an electrician etc. Source> I installed 3 mini splits, two of them with solar panels and had everything inspected. Not to hard to do when you do research such as this person's install videos as well as all of the videos available on KZbin. You can do this!
@cruz4714420 күн бұрын
What?? Precharge?? What does that have to do with vacuuming the line set? The linesets are already vaccumed using that connector on the end no vaccum necessary but the connectors could use torquing
@MrKistel19 күн бұрын
The longer format video explains it and the overall installation in more detail... kzbin.info/www/bejne/pF6TfYuPZsuSaZY How do your units running off solar perform? Sounds interesting.
@killer584619 күн бұрын
@@MrKistel they are absolutely amazing. The units themselves come with the electronics built in so you plug your solar panels directly into them. No inverters, or any other wiring necessary. You just use standard solar cables and it is suggested to put a cutoff switch which I did so they can be disconnected from the solar panels. As far as performance I installed them a couple of months ago right about the middle of July which starts our hottest season. During the couple of weeks we were in the triple digits between 102 and 105, they performed perfectly. It was absolutely amazing to see them run 100% off of solar with zero power coming from the grid and keeping our house at 68°. I live in the high desert in the southwest and our temperatures this time of year begin to fluctuate from 85 to 90° in the day to 45 to 50 at night. This morning when I woke up it was 48° and I put the units both on heat, around 8:00 a.m. they kicked over to 100% solar. FREE HEAT! So far I haven't run across anything that I've not been pleased about with their performance. You should definitely check them out.
