Subscribed. Really glad you got this. I had a 2020 VN as a sunny day car and absolutely loved it. I've been in a honda fit 6sp for the last year and a half, telling myself that I'm doing the right thing financially, but finally even the wife is tired of it and wants it replaced. I have looked at everything with a manual south of 50K. The thing is with the car you bought, that powertrain has been out years and it PROVEN. From doing my own maintenance on a ton of cars I do think the motor runs a bit dirty, I was doing 5k changes on the VN and would probably do 4k's if I bought an EN. This is the only car for me right now if I'm going to pull the trigger. If not, it's 26 or beyond and suffering some more with the fit. I've looked at both toyotas, the subarus, the hondas. I think you got a great car. 👍

instead of seat down why not just do the 12" mod to the sub in the back. seen alot of ppl on reddit or on the N forums just making the hole for the stock 10" fit a 12 and they said it greatly improves inside quality instead of doing something like back seat down and losing trunk space.

A downgrade in my opinion from a Golf R. The Elantra N is a neat performance sedan, but too boy racer looking for me. Hyundai build quality isn’t great either. I would have gone for the new Type R or just paid off the Golf R. I don’t envy anyone who is in constant automotive debt.

I had a 2016 SXT Plus with the Alpine stereo system. It was the 9 speaker system but it was probably the worst sounding system I ever had. That makes me sad because I always wanted an Alpine system when I was a kid, and it sounded like crap because the bass was just too much. If I turned down the bass with the eq, it also turned down the bass in all of the speakers so it sounded thin, like crap. I had no idea it had a subwoofer in the deck lid. I wonder now if I could have unplugged it.

Hey I had a 22 Kona N and just sold it , so here's the thing with it that I liked and didnt like so you can make a possibly better decision. I liked the power once I was moving past 1st gear let's say. I also liked the tech even though the lane assist can be way overboard with sensing things. I also enjoyed the exhaust note, when I used the sport or N mode. What I didnt like was the lack of space behind the back seats for storage and the road noise coming into the cabin and how it handled, it was top heavy feeling as you went around corners and the suspension is 'extremely' stiff in in the softest setting. But some people like that sort of thing. What are you cross shopping it against ?

To get some more bass you need to go larger in cone size. There are plenty of slim subs that have similar slim designs, but net better results. Also, I’d use a higher quality hi lo converter like a kicker keyloc or audio control lc2i. Amp is fine. Probably 400 watts rms.

You were right in buying the Hyundai Elantra N over the Civic R. The Honda is way over-hyped and way overpriced. I number of years ago, when the Civic R came out, I was going to buy one of those, but when I went to my local dealership, they wanted $5000 over MSRP. I laughed in their faces! I went to Hyundai and bought a Veloster N with a manual transmission. I saved over $10,000 !!!!!! The car was great, reliable, fun, and extremely quick for a 4-cylinder turbo car. You made the right decision buying the Hyundai over the Honda! In 2024, I went to my local Acura dealer to buy an Integra S. I couldn't believe it, they were asking $52,000 for that car. Again, I laughed in the sales manager's tight-ass face. So for the last 5 months, every time I drive by that dealership, that same Integra S is still sitting there. LOL! Honda/Acura Dealerships are so full of themselves. They will be sitting on their over-priced Honda products until their new cars are 2 years old suffering from dealer-Rot! Such losers!

Nice. I got my 23N for $34,350, and they charged me $400 for the white paint. I didn't notice that charge on yours. I was happy with the price, either way. Plus I paid straight cash anyway. Great car! Even better when there's no payments :-0 Looking forward to watching your review on the Bose Audio. I personally think it's terrible. They did improve it a little with an over-the-air update. But on the 23, it's very under powered. I have a '11 KIA Optima SX and it has an Infiniti sound system. It blows this Bose out of the water at volume 3 or 4 where Bose is at 20. Sad

Interesting. In Canada we get a better warranty. From the site: 4-year / 80,000 km1 new-vehicle limited warranty - wear & tear items and adjustments excluded after initial 12 months / 20,000 km* Powertrain 5-year / 100,000 km1 powertrain limited warranty Corrosion Perforation Warranty Period 7-year / unlimited km limited warranty against corrosion perforation Roadside Assistance 4 years / 80,000 km In terms of my experience, the best has alwhS been BMW. No questions asked ever. Zero hassle on warranty claims.
