I didn't develop a large set comparison on individual orb drop differences between the two setups as I saw them to be (most likely) ambiguous/randomly selected with drop weights or something like that when a shard is generated. I didn't see any reason to distrust that assumption, but without a large sample set, I'm not sure that I can say that with high confidence either. I would expect to see more shards per map with the obelisks, with ~22% more stacks of shards dropped, and ~1.5% more shards in total (due to the smaller stack sizes from obelisks). That would definitely smooth the "jackpot" aspect of the fractures/mirror shard drops, and with that many more stacks dropping also gives you a lot more opportunity for inflated value from the roughly 5% chance for shard->orb conversion. But, as you've commented elsewhere, you're probably making less profit if you choose obelisks over the added harbingers/ignore the general loot that the added harbingers mobs can drop.

Congrats! I think so long as you make it to 50M value its pretty safe in general. I haven't heard of people getting much better/worse outcomes from different mixtures, but that would be interesting!

Its amazing to me how rare a mirror shard is from harbingers, or at least how rare it seems to be through my data set. Yeah shipping puts it to shame on ability to farm for those mirror shards for sure, and any super juiced farm would probably drop a mirror outright before you get one via harbingers too. I'm interested to see what they do next league too! If they keep the town mechanic around/retool it a bit, or what could possibly come next - should be interesting! And PoE2 is getting closer and closer too. I was all in on beyond about halfway through my harbinger farming (swapped to utilize it around map 200 or so) - that is I got 100% chance via the atlas and took some nodes to increase its value imo.I got a good amount of tainted currency, but was seeing a lot more profit just from the added mobs/raw drops that they generate in general (not just tainted currency). I think it works pretty well with harbingers since harbingers spawn so many mobs in the same place/ability to get that many more beyond portals close together to spawn in mobs.

My average gain per map for the various orbs was as follows: Fracture: 0.06 orbs/map (~16.98 maps to get 1 orb) Ancient: 2.69/map Exalt: 0.44/map (2.27 maps for 1) Annul: 2.82/map Fractures in particular - I averaged 1.18 shards/map, but average stack size is 2-3, and all were duplicated due to warhoards scarab, so I would say I averaged a fracturing shard drop (which then totaled 4-6 shards due to stack size/dupe) every 5 maps or so. Very regularly got multiple in a map or back to back maps with fractures though, and also saw quite a few 10 map streaks without fractures.

I find its necessary when pushing content out to the community too, especially with how volatile the markets can be. Always good to know that you're profitable in a slightly worse case scenario though!

Can't disagree with you there! The obelisks provide slightly more value in currency shards, they keep the maps a bit shorter/easier, and the scarab is cheaper, but you definitely sacrifice that added value from the harbinger's summoned mobs.

I think I made around a thousand or so div along the way, so wouldn't say it wasn't worth it! But yeah frustrating to not get the thing I was targeting as well (but I can just buy a mirror at this point 🥲)

Embezzler is a normal part of the ghost pool and the currency drop is just part of the ghost possession effect, not part of the atlas tree. And if atlas passives (or scarabs) could affect memory maps, you'd have to drag me out of Kirac's Memory of Survivor's Guilt. I was obsessed with that stuff when you could roll the maps for Otherworldly.

^As Otter said. I think the Embezzler mod is just much rarer than I was expecting, but I may have not noticed a few of them if they only dropped currency items I filtered out. I remembered getting some big hits out of these memories last league, but it was pretty unimpressive this time around unfortunately 😐

I think this is more or less what I was at: poeplanner.com/a/9nN You can't really go wrong on harbingers though - I recommend adding beyond and then just focusing scarabs/maps, but it can be a very flexible setup too/work with most other targets as well!

Incandescent is the fastest because if you don't kill the Writhing one fast enough, it might go invul. Doesn't matter if you have Hexblast type of damage, tho

Ah... I have been hearing about strongboxes so much I wanted to give them a shot! I can go for something else though, plenty other stuff on the list for sure.

I will put imbued harbingers on the list, but probably won't get to it this league unfortunately. I have run around 30 maps with T17 harbingers - you see a lot more value from the mobs that they're spawning due to having more quantity/rarity/the "more" modifiers on the T17 maps, but no change to the currency shards dropped by the harbingers themselves.

Ha, yeah from shipping unfortunately (sort of). I haven't disliked this league mechanic so much, but it is very tedious to keep everything running. I wouldn't be surprised if this league had a lot more retention just because it gives people so much to keep doing lol
