I truly wish Jack Yusen could have seen her again, before he passed away. Has anyone found the USS Chicago?? Heavy Cruiser last leading a bunch of other Boats headed to Guadalcanal...I THINK they were going there.

If you're really interested in the Battle of Samar and the Samuel B Roberts I'd suggest the KZbin channel Dracinifel The Battle of Samar. Extremely informative.

I’ve watched Triton and its expositions on my phone and tv so when I saw Victor I knew we were in good hands. This man has been to every deepest point in each ocean and is the embodiment of how to do deep sea diving safely and correctly. This man is a legend and has done SO much for ocean exploration.

And 2024 America elected a man as president who called these brave men who fought so valiantly and gave the last full measure, as quote,"suckers and loosers" a man who as president refused to honour American soldiers who fell in the horrors of the WWI trench battles at memorial day, because HE FEARD HIS HAIR COULD GET WET! What an excruciating shame! What unspeakable dishonour!

I am a an Aussie and a veteran with a huge appetite for military history. Is there an avenue to apply to be part of these exploration trips and be part of the crew in some form? It would be an amazing experience to be part of the team.

Second viewing. (your uploads have me hooked) Thank you to all involved with locating and visiting these wrecks. And thank you for sharing the footage with us, humanity included. 1:30:17 "Watch, you might start drifting your side into the wreck". "Don't tell me to watch, tell me to do something". I almost yelled thank you at the screen. lol Best wishes on all future missions. May waters be smooth, may drift always be minimal.

Such amazing and mind blowing discovery of ship wreck that is TWICE deeper than that of the Titanic! And not expecting it to be located somewhere of the Philippine Sea. That submersible is a legend! ❤

This caught my eye because my grandfather was a lieutenant on a Destroyed Escort...the U.S.S. Foreman. They got a glancing hit from a Val kamikazi and had a bomb go thru the ship and explode underneath it another time.

I'm curious why they filled the sphere with water if the idea is it would be have the pressure differential between outside and inside and the test chamber was also filled with water. Was this to detect water transfer between inside and outside (leaks?)
