That’s nice! I used to have a Baker Run-In-Oil that I fixed up, and I had lots of issues with the blades sliding out. There’s no real good way to anchor them in the wheel on that brand. I ended up selling the Baker and bought an Aermotor. lol
@whistle3man3 ай бұрын
I don't know if I showed it in that video or another one that I made but I actually made small stainless steel angle brackets and attached them to the blade and the rotor so the blades have no chance of sliding out. I wasn't fond of that crimped mechanism they used.

It appears like the pushers can be adapted/swapped out to set somewhat finer bandsaw blades.. Whether that being reason, not going with the dual systems seen on many, being my guess, Though it could simply be the compact size of these compared, or perhaps the materials required which makes this one a winner to me. No need answer this, sher what fun would that be, hehe. Nice bit of souping up I might add.😉 Thanks for posting, that's another project sorted for me. All the best Tom P.S Should you be concerned, seeing as you mentioned plans for sale... someone else on YT has uploaded your video, seems it takes the publisher to report any copyright violation. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bImol3R8Yq6Eg6c

Well i found a new toy to add to my list of tools. Bought a quick connection plate, set it up for forks but quickly realized I can build anything for the plate such as a trench bucket, bail fork, platform jig now a Crain. One different design will be the Crain will slide onto the forks, bracket attached to the back of forks for stability. This makes the Crain completely independent of the tractor. I'll shoot you a photo when it's done.😅

Your mill is well thought out. Couple of questions: 1) you made your wheels, what is the thickness of aluminum you used and diameter of the wheels? 2) How did you machine them? 3) what is the orange coating on your wheels? Some type of rubber no doubt. 4) do your wheels have a slight crown in them for tracking?
@whistle3man Жыл бұрын
2.0 wide. 20 inch in diameter. Yes there is a slight crown on the face. I believe I made it .015 higher in the center. The orange stuff is a urethane tire that is bonded on and very tight. They do sometimes need redone. Especially if I break a blade. Also machined them on a larger CNC vertical milling machine.
@whistle3man Жыл бұрын
Also the wheels can be adjusted for tracking also.
