Sam , I learned so much about Titanic and other subjects from you !! You're an awesome, smart , very knowledgeable , and an excellent teacher. I never learned about the Titanic in school. Keep up the awesome work that you do on this channel

Judging from what you mentioned about times, listing, and weight of coal moved, can we assume that roughly 150 tons of water per minite were entering the hull of the titanic after the collision? If the ship was on an almost level keel after 2 minutes, surely 300 tons of water had to have entered by then to counter the 300 tons weight of coal moved to the starboard side, to right the ship? Its both interesting and scary to think that much water was entering the ship over that time scale

This is pure torture right there!!!! I would never subscribe to nonsense garbage content and false information about the Titanic!!!! I only stick to the facts and real history of the Titanic !!!!!

Oy, you left some important information mate. That the titanic broke in half because of a faulty shock absorver gap. The gap in the middle of the ship that acts as a flexible area for counter waves. In the middle of the ship there was a V shape gap that crossed the entire wide of the ship, from port to starboard. This gap was inches wide. The breaking point was the low corner of the V arrow. Titanic broke faster than people believe because of this and the stern broke off at a lower angle than people believe because of this gap.

This comment is not exactly on the topic of video but still part; its just an observation it occurred to me after seeing the picture in the back monitor and a comment made by creator. But; isnt ironic that the Titanic and the Britannic were struck on the same area in the starboard section?

The combination of talking about a mass casualty event with what sounds like the peaceful background music of an online board game or hold music is such a jarring contrast lol. But, accurate information. So, gotta give dues where dues due.

I don't know If I missed it, but I find it interesting that there is no mention of the ship that was the biggest in the world for about 20 years until the launch of the Normandie and the Queen Mary, the RMS Majestic. Otherwise, great video!

In 1912, the world was black & white. There were no colors in these days. Conspiracy theory ? Ok, no. But one detail I notice in the 1997 version is that the love birds consume there relation in the famous Renaud car. That car was "boxed" meaning it was packaged for transport. So when you see it, that is another "mistake" that was shown.

What happened to your room with all the Titanic stuff? For the last month or so it's just been the white background

The stern had no hope of staying afloat. The break up was very messy, shellplating ripped loose from the inner structure for 160 feet aft of the tear line on the starboard side. That opened the turbine engine room and the generator room to the sea. Also, the way the hull was hogging before it broke apart must have caused bulkheads and decks to flex and bend, and that could have render them or the water tight doors useless. The weight of the remaining cylinders of the reciprocating engines still in place pulled the forward end of the stern section downwards. It didn't help the reciprocating engine room was open to the ocean either.

I never thought about it at all like this! A lifetime fascination with the Titanic and it finally feels as if the pieces all finally fit together. The engines were basically cement shoes.

If the SOS signal was standardized by then, and titanic had repeatedly blown the SOS signal on its horn/steam whistle, do you think the Californian would have heard it from 10 to 20 miles away? And rushed to the rescue? Because if the captain would have heard the titanics horn blowing the same rythmic sequence, surely he would have realised it was morse code and woken the wireless operator to find out what the message was

I'm not sure I think Bob Ballard changed the rules regarding the Titanic wreck site's. In that today 2024 it is protected site's. If you go down to the Titanic wreck on a whem appsalutely not. Unless you know what you are doing. You don't belong down there.

Everyone pull up a chair 💺 🤣 🤪 will be here for quite some time talking about nut jobs. But today it's I'm not a genius but common sense prevails. To be fair we all grew up in the same education system in America 🇺🇸. We have always been blue collar working people. So not necessarily college smart but street smart.

I love my video games, but I really don't have time to play like I used to. I would Minecraft for hours and Call of Duty zombie original Call of Duty. I play the games today are so expensive. I can't justify spending that much on a game. I Still have my Ps3 but it is in my closet. The PS5 👀 like a phone book to me. I just don't want it messing up the overall look of my apartment. It doesn't match the decor.

Makes a lot of sense in fact the stern section was so stable in the water many survivors reported that that for a moment or two they thought that the stern was going to stay on the surface and save people's lives because it seemed like it wasn't going to sink and it was stable but then it ultimately just slid to the water

Amazing about the fellow surviving for three days in the air pocket! Hard to imagine what would be going through your mind during that time. Hope he came back to a good life! Thanks for this video. I had wondered a bit about this, too. Glad to hear that it is unlikely that anyone suffered an even more horrific death than those on the surface.

Even if someone had still lived in that ship, they would not have made it... Titanic sank very deep under water and they only found it again in 1985... horror that you would never want to experience..
