Great video Gary. I'm wondering how long does it take you to pan each time? Because looking at your clean ups. I found that you don't have any sand or tiny rocks mixed in as well. I got to learn the right way because I can never get my pans to look like your pans. It's amazing how you can get everything out.👍🏻 It honestly takes me around 15 minutes to get it down to the black sands and I still have sand and small rocks. It's awesome watching a professional!

I have noticed a lot of people do most of their panning over the riffles. I will use the riffles for the first quarter of the pan, then switch to the smooth side because the riffles make it a lot tougher to pan and are not needed if you keep an eye out for the black sands.

I learned how to scuba dive when I was in high school, so it was never an issue for me. As long as you can swim and you're not afraid of the water it shouldn't be a problem.
