For snow gloves mainly, what are you actually talking about? You sound incredibly close minded and not ok with something different, you didn't even give a real criticism other than the drums (which are great)

34:50 Mark's Theme was written by the band's sax player (lewis evans) as a tribute to his uncle Mark who passed due to COVID in 2021. the quaint, mumbly signing at the end of the track is a snippet of Mark himself and its a very moving one for me. Overtime it's easily became one of my favourites from the record

haunting and mesmerizing. superb ending to a great ep! i think this is the best produced song on here too, sonically it sounds incredible.

TDH - Like Crazy obviously i dont think you copied it on purpose but its basically the same thing for the verses lol. i do that all the time, where i forget i heard a song and then copy it by accident
@evorymuseum8 күн бұрын
sounds like something youd hear on drones sort of? its very muse but not in the traditional muse way. obviously the TDH influence too, that shines a lot here. that chorus is so powerful, and also has the exact chords to mustard gas i think (or very similar). im hearing a lot of act 3, especially the title track. stellar song, just like the rest on the ep
@evorymuseum8 күн бұрын
sounds like something from OKNOTOK disc 2. super pretty change of pace from the last song :) also the middle part when strings come in really REALLY reminds me of what it means to be alone from tdh, plus a little bit of saved

the switchup at 2:25 is heavenly. this whole song is insane. as someone else said, just hypnotic.
@evorymuseum8 күн бұрын
you were NOT kidding when you said this sounds like tdh oh my god i love it im hearing a ton of their classic tropes in this, alongside some direct references? is that opening guitar inspired by "Girl"? the part at 0:50 is also just incredible, definitely something casey would write. 3:58 also gives me huge tdh vibes, akin to something like mustard gas maybe?

Hey, don't trash Save Me! I love that song!! Just shows how variable fans' tastes are. Before I die please let Chris make more songs 🙏 With that out of the way, my top 10 would be very similar except: - I'd switch ST and WOTP, I guess because I do listen to albums as albums and not collections of songs. The question is, would I buy the whole CD (which I actually do)? As someone else noted ST has a great overall vibe though the individual songs might not be legend. WOTP has 3-4 WOW songs and the rest ist just... meh. - I'd also switch Showbiz and Drones. Maybe that's familiarity, old is gold etc. I also really like Fillip and Falling Down :) but yeah would replace Sober or Overdue with Spiral Static (lucky Japanese)... YES OOS IS NUMBER 1. YES ALSO A GLORIOUS FAN HERE ❤ that song just represents Muse so well for me and can't describe how it makes me feel.

The rhythm section, drums and bass, are constantly dancing around the deliberately metronome locked guitar lines, syncopation is everywhere - you need to listen more closely! One of my favourite bands back in the day, I still carry my love for this album and the next few with me. They were really great, but it takes time to pass for people to appreciate what they were doing back then.
