One of my earliest full price bought games was: Test Drive II - The Duel on my trusty Amiga. Only two cars. Porsche 959 and Ferrari F40. Ah, fond memories. They must have been one of the earliest to sell DLC. Additional cars and tracks could be bought separately. The creator/producer was Don Mattrick. The guy who is these days blamed for the failure of the Xbox One. ;)

2 looks remarkably the same as 1. Only less 😂 they already understood the market well then. Love the police sirene and the Mercedes though. Back then, they didn't need a lot of polygons to create a car that looked like the real thing. they were all blocky 🤭 how far we have evolved already... its crazy

Unfortunately it has much less content than the previous TDU title. But the always-online requirement makes it an automatic no-buy for me anyway. Aside from server issues stopping you playing temporarily, they can turn the servers off at some point in the future, like Ubisoft did with The Crew, and suddenly you no longer have a game.

Agree. I understand that they try to put the focus on something else than the driving in this game, but what they offer to "make up for it" is just too little. dont buy this shit. Its the same build quality as cheap aliexpress shit and poorly designed. with too many corners cut and incompatible parts. if you getTRX seat you would need to be creative installing it. reverse brackets and then push the seat which is wider than brackets in. there are no matching though holes to mount a monitor stand and they supply adapter plate designed by an idiot. with 3mm or thread in 4 bolts who will be supporting your potentially heavy monitor .... major disappointment.

I love the wheel you used. The only thing i dont like about the ffb is it always feels like it has extra weight. Not like actual ffb weight but dead wejght instead of feeling flowy or floaty. Instead of only tightening on the edge of the limits or grip as you turn in its like ot starts right sway. Not a good eay to truely find the limits since it always feels the same. Its as if there is extra built in inirtia and dampenig. Not dampening on details but just that dampening weight feel. People will relate it to power but it isnt. Its as if its at peak at all times instewd of the feeling changing. Just sauing you shouldnt have to fight the wheel from the start or turn in. It shoupd flow through until you start hitting the limits. Wheels that just stay purely tight i dont like and isnt really informing you correclty on whats going on with the cars suspension wnd tires. Asetek does this in acc only. Its fantastic on everything else but in acc there is this dead weight that feels so weird and awkward compared to other wheels.

You know I think, before release, anyone would been happy we got those things. Most expected, expensive wheel and shifter. We got decently priced with decent quality shifter, handbrake, qr adapter and wheels. With places them on pair with Moza and Fanatec I think. Only things missing now are - proper licensed wheels - f1 wheel - quality H pattern I only like manual in real life, in good cars to add to that. No need for dual clutch paddels, for VR and rally they actually get in the way. I like the looks of the GT wheel and its 290mm, don’t need for them to look like real thing if they look clean. Would like better looking shifters though, they look like a toy. But they look reliable from comments of KZbinrs and feel good, that matter more to me. The rally wheel should been 300-320mm and at max 80€, MOMO one is 200€ and I prefer Logitech material used anyway over Alcsnatra which gets dirty after a month or two.

The hub and plates are disappointing. Hubs aren't universal cause of button placement, rs plate is an acquired taste based on looks and round wheel could have been bigger. Also no h pattern, the cheap plastic shifter just cut it. After 2 yrs was expecting more given the competition. Nicer wheel didn't have to be crazy expensive look at Fanatec=McLaren or Thrustmaster = Ferrari. Or non branded Simagic GT Neo. Pricing of hubs and plates okay as better than Fanatec but not moza. My friend thank you for the review. I first saw your T128 vs G29 video and i went for the t128 cause you said its has a better more intense driving feel than the g29. But here you say it is the second worse you ever tried. T128 has 2.5 nm torque and g29 has 2.1. Is that correct?
@SimulatedDrivingResource

I was talking more how the steering wheel feels to the touch and not about the force feedback itself. Because it is plastic and very small diameter it feels very akward. @@darbstre2900 absolutely. While not marketed as a hybrid GT/F1 it has the feature because of the pedalbase👍

My problem is just: I like to drive in ETS2 with my mates but I also like to be competitive and achieve results in F1 24 (and ACC in the future). 🤣

-but also I don't want to give too much money as I know that I have these periods where I just don't drive for some months

@@TheRealOzelo you can be even competitive with a controller should you want. But yes, I understand your predicament. The R5 is double the investment on the second hand market for my region which is quite a lot of money if you dont use it. I am very sorry friend but I cant do a recommendation. If you are not sure you want to spend the money, then better you dont is the only thing I can think off. Also, as alternative, you could have a look at Cammus C5.

@@SimulatedDrivingResource No worries, I understand. It's not for the near future since I am first focused on getting my first gaming PC. So, I think I can leave this behind for a while and come back when I feel like I am ready to make a decision.

Haha I like the comment about divorced parents. Divorced may be but if you have parents who buy you that kind of toy along with love and efforts to have you visit the other parent, the kid could do much much worse in this world. Excellent review of a new company product that doesn't have marketing power of moza and others like it.

Absolutely. I remember that I took my desktop and CRT monitor sometimes from my mother to my father. It was a hassle so features like this, I can really appreciate.
