Yes he did have a couple bad calls (the bump stock ban comes to mind) but for the most part things here and abroad were very good. As to the division, you can look to Obama for that. Just because you and you friends feel like that doesn't mean that the whole hobby is dying. It's okay to take a break from the mainstream and focus on what you love. For me it's building terrain out of garbage. I love doing that and its always fun. For others it's playing discontinued games. This is how old games like Mordheim have survived for all these years. It's completely fan supported, my buddies and I play it without using official miniatures all the time. The hobby is alive, it's just the company that keeps disappointing.

My personal list of issues: 1) As a space marine player and collector, my experience is pretty similar to games with pay 2 win economy. They pull new generic mkX armor primaris units out of their asses every quarter a year or so, and I have to either spend my hard earned money or my army will suck. But if I do follow the hype, there is a chance that that new hot units will be nerfed to death. 2) They can't seem to play test the changes well enough. They delete rules and features to make game more accessible, and invent dosens of new problems by doing it. Streamlined but not simple my ass. 3) As also a CSM player, I get new stuff only once in a blue moon. 4) New models are just not that fun to paint. Very minor customizability on some models, detail creep on the others, zero poseability. Multi-part models feel like ETB models in a way. Sure it's cool that Bladeguard vet has an option of having arms that wipe the blade with enemies banner, too bad that every freaking army would have those dudes, because other options run dry really soon. 5) I really liked the 9th edition, and tbh 10th just feels like a completely other game that I don't have much excitement about. It's literally like trying DoW3 after playing hours of DoW2 and loving it.
