I have tried this. The strings are lights and thinner so more aerodynamics - sounds strange, but I felt the head lighter and swing speed was increased. I enjoyed it. It just broke earlier than my other strings

I really like this racquet line and like you, it does remind me a bit of the Radical line but with better feel (foam filled).

What tension will you recommend in your Speed Pro ? What for Zero , what for Sync and what hybrid ?
@opencourt808
@opencourt808 20 сағат бұрын
Speed Pro has a tighter string pattern so I would recommend 52 for Sync and 50 for Zero, but that depends on your playstyle and what you're looking for from the string. In a hybrid, if you're using the Zero in the mains, string it a bit lower because it's stiffer than the Sync

I have been searching for something "more perfecter" than Cyclone at 17 gauge, and it hasn't happened yet. It has everything. Tour Bite is better in terms of bite, but the edges wear down and you lose the bite. Cyclone doesn't have that issue. I put a syn gut into the cross though. I also have it in an 18x20 so I actually was under the impression that the launch angle wasn't that high. Good to know.

Do these lighter sticks retain all their design benefits if they are just covered in lead tape to add 10-20g extra to stock weight? (BTW did you ever hit with the PS Tour from gen3, does it compare to the 97?)

How would your compare this to the Boom Pro? I have an Eastern Forehand and a OHBH.
@opencourt808
@opencourt808 9 күн бұрын
If you consistently hit toward the upper portion of the sweet spot, I think the boom pro is better for OHBH. The long mains of the extreme allows backhands hit in the center or lower sweet spot to have more power but if you don't need that punch, I think the boom is more suited to OHBH

I recently discovered this racket and I am so glad I found this review. I have watched several reviews on this racket on youtube in the last couple of days and almost all of them say "it is too hard to use because the head is too small, the 18x20 string pattern is too dense, and it is too heavy overall".... it is like all of these reviewers started playing tennis in the last couple of years, only stay at the baseline, and never used a racket with a smaller head, more weight, tighter strings, etc... so their reviews are not helpful because they have no context of past rackets from really not that long ago, nor do they have an all-court game. I started playing tennis in 2008 and used a k blade tour: 93sqin head, 18x20, 11.4oz unstrung, 10pts headlight unstrung, etc. - a racket with objectively much harder specs than this but I never had a problem playing with it. After many years off, I started playing tennis again and could not find anything modern with similar specs to my kblade tours. I ended up getting some yonex vcore95s and added weight in the handle and the top of the hoops to add stability and plow through. It is too bad that so few rackets have those "player" specs now but it is what it is. This review was a breath of fresh air. It is obvious you know your stuff and have actually tried all kinds of rackets. I love the nat gut/alu power combo (that you also mentioned would be interesting in this fram) and am going to be demoing this racket with those strings. Thanks for the great review!

24/23kg is too high tension for this string setup. I went for 22/21kg on RF01 PRO (98" - 16x19) and it seems to be perfect choice. Even if still can be felt a bit stiff at the beginning.

@opencourt808
@opencourt808 27 күн бұрын
Lynx tour is crisper and a bit softer with more power. Confidential is very stiff and boardy. I recommend Confidential to someone who has massive power, a healthy arm, and just wants something predictable on aggressive baseline swings
