its kinda sad that the jump between 500 and 600 is insane a 600 is easy 100hp there should be a 70ish hp bike to go from the 500CC 47hp

Hey, I know this is an old video, but maybe it will help with the algo. I found your channel today and pretty much watched all your videos already. I live in MN too. So I just finished my MSF course yesterday and passed. Right now I'm trying to determine what bike I should get come spring time. I'm still not sure, but the CBR 500 is now a contender thanks to your content. Keep it up, and I hope to see more of your vids.

Hello Tommy, I am interested in these boots. But I ride a low to mid speed. It's a Apollo city pro. The top speed it's 32mhp/50 kmph. I mainly ride in the heat of 60-85F. From your experiences does it flow more air in these vented boots feel like these more air during the hot summer days? Please message back. This will be my last outfit protection gear for my list.
@TheTommyGun

Hey! I don’t think you should have any issue with heat in these boots. There is a bit of flow but not as much as if you were to get the Rideknit pair. It may get toasty at 85 degrees, but will also keep you nice and warm at 60 degrees!

@@TheTommyGun Did you get it from Leo’s? Any reliability issues? I have owned 300s and super sports and I actually enjoy “smaller” bikes, they are more fun to me so I was debating between your old bike and this one. However the 660 seems maybe to be the best combination of all.

Ive owned my cbr500r for a little over 3 years now and I can safely say I have no complaints about it, havent had any mechanical issues and its being driven in standard Irish weather which is on the wet side for most of the year it has never let me down! I absolutely adore this bike, it looks amazing, so smooth to drive, its not too heavy and it can overtake cars in fast lanes with no problem. Im only 5'3 and I can touch the floor comfortably with both feet and sit upright. It manages fuel very well using only a little over half a tank on a 3 hour drive travelling 207km across the country. It also gets a ton of compliments at local bike gatherings and many people mistake it for a fireblade due to the shape and colours lol

I wish there were was much more after market support for the 500R. It's a crime how there are so little in the way for aftermarket parts versus other bikes in the same class. Even tho the 500R is widely supported in Europe and South East Asia, there are hardly any parts here in the US.

It's called a dead red light. In some states motorcyclists can treat a non responsive stoplight like a stop sign as long as they yield to other traffic. The dead red rule applies in Arkansas, Idaho, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and Wisconsin, which allow a motorcyclist to proceed with caution after coming to a complete stop through a red light that fails to detect the bike. Oregon and Washington similar laws but I couldn't find anything with a quick search.

I’m not incredibly familiar with the model before Honda redid the 500r in 2019. But from what I could tell it’d be a good bike for your needs! It won’t have the gear indicator which is one of the reasons I wanted to 2019-. But I think you’d be alright if it’s in a respectable price!
