Your review is pretty on point and gives a very good overview on most significant aspects of the game. I'm not a dad (yet) but I agree with pretty much everything you've said. Feybreak update is out, and it's pretty good. They keep improving it, I can't wait for 1.0.

I thought it was just me. I was struggling to clear basic bosses in Lies of P on the Portal, which is a Souls game that requires quick reaction times from both the player and the hardware. Latency needs to be improved a bit.

This is a game changer for us dads. My young son is always watching my tv during the day so if I wanna game, this is the ticket
@Fatboys-UnlimitedАй бұрын
So this keeps the kiddos in the game on Sundays huh. but if you can afford this device then you can afford a standalone tv for your child's room. there is also when the wifey is watching home and garden and dad wants to pop domes. lol

The deal breakers would be no ability to stream movies from even playstation core or netflix...games have some lag...seems acceptable for my skill level as well. I'm not a pro dad player but the steam deck more than suits my itch...plus its basically a desktop running linux.

is it possible to buy portable PSP without PSP 5 and play games? if yes how can i install games on PSP portable
@MBRAND-ui8qn2 ай бұрын
It’s the Playstation Portable. No you cannot install games onto this device. You will need a PS5 to use it.
@HAGZ048329 күн бұрын
It got an update to stream games directly from the net so you don't need a ps5 anymore, you'd need a premium PS+ subscription and good internet tho.

Father of 4. I grind that ranked mode harder than I do my wife. /s In all seriousness, I do grind the shit out of ranked. There are dad's out there that get forgotten, but we exist and are still competitive.

…It’s a Wii U gamepad. That’s all this is, and it doesn’t even give a direct connection to the PS5 itself but uses your WiFi to play games remotely. If we can’t even take the Portal on the go and leave the PS5 at home, what’s the point?
@RR-lb6mr4 ай бұрын

Honestly, i loved the Wii U gamepad. What’s your point? Pricewise, the Portal is cheaper (corrected for inflation) than a replacement Wii U gamepad btw.

No I believe Dads should avoid these games at all costs. Dads should spend the majority of there time in small sheds at the bottoms of gardens, avoiding being shouted at for things they haven't done. 🙂

Absolutely, I didn't think it served much purpose to cover the launch drama BUT even despite the launch they poured time, love and effort into the game and it's shows and it's nice to see the player base appreciate it. - C.J.

Im a dad and I say Yes. I have two kids, and I appreciate that I can pause at any time, explore at my own time, and I can use this to relax after a long day, or after the kids go to bed, this and spider man 2 are my two relaxing games 😂. I just put spider man on n just swing around with music, and NMS is the vibe, NMS is my favorite open world exploration game

Not a dad but I am an older dude who is very busy with work/life but also has loved gaming for decades. Your reivew is great. I only have so much time to game these days and I gnerally like to have one daily driver sort of game while also playing something eitrher new or indie/unique in some way. Well, after finishing Shadow of the Erdtree I bounced between a few titles but nothing was sticking until I tried NMS after admiring the game from afar for years. 25 hours in and I am loving it. It is a great game for busy people who want a deep, immersive experience but also maybe only have time to play casually at points. that all future updates are free and I can drop in drop out at me leisure is really great. Def be playing this one for quite awhile. Great reivew and you earned a sub!

The biggest issue with being a dad and playing this game is the grind is real, so you have to dedicate a fair amount of time to unlock a lot of things. On the plus side, I don't think I've run across a mission that has taken more then 15 minutes.
