Its a masterpiece, but one of the most disappointing masterpieces in gaming history. I still love the game, but sometimes id rather just go back and play BotW

This whole video was your opinion, I wanted to know "why SO MANY PEOPLE hate tears of the kingdom", not some guy's pedantic musings about how the sequel lacks the tech of the prequel that HE specifically loved Cool tech showcase though, thats all

It would be cool if the oil, which normally removes friction, made it so you constantly had an increase in speed the longer you stand on it.

i think hakita said somewhere the red bits around the earthmover's legs are the roots from the blood trees of 7-3, so if we never fuelled the trees the earthmover would, well, be moving.

I genuinely clicked this thinking they were trolling I didn’t realize how much hate was out there for this game to each their own it wasn’t the best game but I loved it and I’m sure for what it’s worth that means nothing since I’m a nobody but a gamer that’s been playing Zelda since snes 🤷🏽♂️

I gotta say I bought BOTW at launch-absolutely loved the game! But TOTK looked really hard to me..the building concepts..I would just get bored or maybe I didn't know what to do - all I want is a great story & not for the game to be tidious & super hard for me to play..ugh..

The big problem i saw and agree with is: Botw and Totk simply ruin each other in almost every way. If you look at Botw and played it first, you are going into Totk with expectations to discover some new content that is good, refreshing and maybe even outstanding. While "new" certainly is the case with Fuse and Ultrahand, as well as depths and sky being added, it already ends there, cause non of these reach the other part of those expectations. Nothing new Totk offers is good new content. Sky and depths are huge stretches of emptiness, with the sky at least having some shrines, which are mostly just "bring green crystal there" and can be solved the same way. Fuse and Ultrahand, while cool additions, are a chore to use and one pretty much just added to the weapon system that you now not only break your weapon, but the material as well, fixing nothing really, and the other barely saves any time, no matter what you try to create. Shrines themselves are just as simple as before, just more and in different locations, same goes for Koroks and towers too. Aside from that, barely anything of the Hyrule you know from Botw changed at all, which then makes almost nothing "refreshing". Totk feels like a DLC or "definitive" edition of Botw and that the whole story progression is almost the exact same as in Botw doesn't make it any better. If the opposite is the case however, then you are looking at Totk as just the better version of Botw, without any reason to go back and why would you? Totk almost has everything that Botw offers and took over the exact same flaws, while creating more things to offer and thus adding more flaws as well. This makes Botw look like a demo in comparison. No matter how you look at it, these games are the same thing, just with one having a bit more to do on the chore list than the other and it's why Totk, an alright game and a terrible sequel, got forgotten so fast by so many people. People knew the majority already and if you played hundreds of hours of Botw, i'm more than certain most people just got burned out far too fast or didn't care to play through the Hyrule again, that you already knew from the game before. I mean, we just have to look at all the different challenges people made in Botw back then, which is a big reason Botw got so much attention even after the beginning months. There is a reason why this almost didn't happen for Totk after all. This game had for more potential

for me personally, great game of course, but it gets WAAAAY to easy. Thats why i hoped for Master Mode or a challenging DLC or 2, when the announcment came the game fizzled for me. Will replay every few years tho.
