Ya the star wars haul can work in so many ways. the figures Id use for town sculptures put them on pillars and paint up in stone colors for propaganda the speeders are SOOO close to be useful but I don't see many figs at that scale. The mats have potential. The checker blue screams power station at me and the water would work for an under water star wars location. If you got the right artsy tupper ware it could be a Gungan city or clear plastic cups and connected then could make great underwear tubes. Heck Kamino could work as a flooded area the droids attack though into the instillation.

These things are cool, but what is REALLY cool is either your wife (if that’s a wedding band), for letting you buy all this “crap”, or the size of your house, where you will be able to stash all this, as I doubt this is neither the first nor the last time you have done this 🤣 Seriously though, I love the idea of repurposing (preferably cheap) things for gaming. But I have accepted that I never get around to actually painting them, and I have run out of space. So please make more videos like this, and show the end result if you paint/modify them. Great start! Looking forward to get into it. Already converted Vector X 🙂. I will be using Tiny D6 in the Saints and Synners variant, which I think is a good fit. Dead easy to convert Vector X to that system: Traits: Sneaky, Nimble Fingers, Acrobatic, Perceptive (because I am a human I get a bonus trait at character creation). Profession Trait: Scout, Weapon Group Proficiency: light melee, Weapon Mastery: daggers, DONE.

I am really excited about this! I cannot wait to see what story will be unfolded by all of the solo gamers! I was not familiar with Numenera. For everyone, the core book and a few supplements are free to read online! The setting is so unique and interesting! It leaves space for any type of story. I have started reading the setting and lore to get a feel of the world. So far, by artwork and equipment lists etc, I get a vague Dune-ish vibe. A somewhat techno-medieval setting with bedrolls made of synthetic fiber and battle axes made of synth steel! Just the name of some equipment fires up my creative brain, like memory ants, we need to have some memory ants in the adventure! Whatever they are! Great choice of setting! No firearms from what I can see at a first glance, which I would have liked, but probably we can create something like a techno-repeater crossbow "cypher" which would serve the same narrative purpose. @gray army gaming, my suggestion would be for your episode to be episode 1. I think it makes it more clear that it is the beginning of a story and not the setting/ character building episode.

I have not played yet, it looks great. I have noticed that some comments on FB and YT point out that the author intended that the decks be reshuffled only after they have been depleted, not when a Joker is drawn. Does it matter much? I will find out when I do some play throughs.

Yes: the loser in CC is removed - it can be either the attacker or defender. Hierarchy of cards: S-H-D-C for tied draws. I'd play with a few more figures on each side, and start farther apart...they have guns for a reason!

If an attacker is defeated in close combat he should be immediately removed as a casualty. I know I've written a number of rules clarifications here on the comments, but in practice these nuances don't make that much of a difference. I think the game should be played fast and furious just as you've done here!

I think you are only supposed to shuffle a deck when the deck is exhausted. Though I cannot find a specific reference to this in the rule book. Not that it actually matters that much.

You only draw for Initiative after the end of a turn (when a Joker is drawn).To be fair, a lot of players seem to get this rule wrong.

In the case of a tie, the suit of the card determines the winner: Spades beats Hearts beats Diamonds beats Clubs (as in ridge). See p4.

Just got this game and am looking to try it out as well. Great battle report, looking forward to more. Here a couple rules issues I saw. When the cards are tied, you look at the suit, the order being spades beating hearts beating diamonds beating clubs. You only draw a second card if both cards share the same suit. Would not have mattered with the 5's, but the second time @4:12 the defector would have hit. The close combat, the loser is removed from the game. Also, I don't think you keep checking for initiative. You simply go back and forth with activation cards until a Joker is pulled. Then do end of turn stuff and redo initiative.
