@@JenDigitalArt thank you so much Jen! I'm learning to illustrate and I have found pencil with watercolour looks quite unfinished but a bit nervous about trying black as i like very pastel washes! Have you had success with animals using different coloured fineliners or do you find very find black gives the best effect with water colour and pencil?. I absolutely love your work ❤️ tysm xx

Wonderful! Yes, I find that adding the ink pen to watercolour painting gives a nice definition. I’ve also tried a sepia pen (0.05mm or 0.1mm) which works very nicely too. Definitely worth experimenting with different coloured inks. All the best with it!😊

What is a decent printer to use? I have struggled with this for years, and have never been able to settle on one that is good for WC artists.
@JenDigitalArt3 жыл бұрын
I’ve been using an Epson WF-2750 to scan my illustrations. It seems to work well (after a bit of configuration in the Epson scanning software.) Not sure which printer would be the best for scanning watercolour images - it’s not something I’ve done much research on, but what I’m using seems to work alright.

Hello, And I'd first like to say that I love your work and thank you so much for sharing with us. I have a question please. I have some watercolour paintings I want to change into pngs . I don't have a scanner, so if I take a photo of my painting to put onto the computer, the question is how do I make it more than 300 pxl so that it will be clear to use for clipart please. Thank you, Amanda from france.
@JenDigitalArt3 жыл бұрын
Unless your camera is able to capture a high resolution image it’s probably not recommended to do it this way. If the photographed image is a low resolution, and you add it to a high resolution (300dpi) canvas in Sketchbook Pro, you can save it as 300dpi, but it will still be a low resolution image saved at high resolution. So I wouldn’t recommend it unless the camera can take a high quality photo. You could certainly try the photograph and see how it turns out, but scanning seems to work the best - it’s unfortunate that you don’t have access to one.

Hey i accidentally put to 25 frames instead of 240 (auto). Does it mean that it will be 25 frames only? I clicked the "duplicate keyframe" to add more frames but when i will save it later, will it be only the first 25 frames or the whole frames that i have created? (52 frames)
@JenDigitalArt4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your question.🙂 If you have added keyframes, then yes, it should save ALL of the new frames you have created as well (52 frames). Hope that helps.

Do you draw all of your art free hand and where do you get your inspiration from please. Do you have a inspirational board? I appreciate all the time and effort you put in to answering my questions. You are very kind and professional. Thank you Amanda france
@JenDigitalArt4 жыл бұрын
I love drawing animals - especially their faces. I often find inspiration by looking at other artists work. I don’t copy their art, but it can be very inspiring to see what other artists are creating...it can give you ideas for your own work. So I’d definitely recommend looking up other illustrators work, and seeing what other people create to find the styles you like.

Hello. Can you tell me please! What tablet you are using when you use your pen to take the background off, and how did you upload your painting. Thank you. Amanda france.

Hi Amanda, I use a Wacom Intuos Pro medium tablet. To transfer the watercolour artwork to the PC, I scanned the painting at 300dpi.

I have another question about your wacom , can you see the design that you made directly on the wacom screen or only on the computer please. Amanda: France
@JenDigitalArt4 жыл бұрын
The Wacom Intuos Pro medium is used with a computer - you can’t see what you’re drawing on the tablet, only on the computer screen. You can purchase Wacom tablets which can be used without a computer - you draw straight on the tablet screen, but they are more expensive. Hope that helps.😊
