Can it be done in free version of sketchbook???)

Yes, I am using the free version for desktop in this video - in fact the full Sketchbook software is now completely free, as of 2018.

Hello, I am not able to find the wash brush. Do I have to download it somewhere? Thanks!
@JenDigitalArt4 жыл бұрын
The wash brush should be included in the brush library of Sketchbook version 8. I am using version 8.7.1 on a desktop. When you're in Sketchbook, perhaps try checking for updates to get the latest version by clicking: HELP, CHECK FOR UPDATES. Hope that helps! :)

Hello! I love this tutorial I wanted to ask when I choose a color for the brush from the color picker or otherwise, after taking my finger up from the screen, the color automatically changes to another randomly Is there anyway you can "lock," the color, or if there isnt what am I doing wrong? :( Please reply Thanks
@JenDigitalArt4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your question. Are you using the sketchbook mobile app on a phone or tablet? I’m afraid I don’t have experience with the mobile version - all of my work is created on the desktop version. Controls are probably different on the mobile version and unfortunately I’m not familiar with them - sorry I can’t be of more help! -Jen❤️

May be you press a little more on it and it picks up a background color.... Check if it picks some color where you press your finger afterwards.

Amazing and easy to understand. Just one quick question, while merging the layers, do we have to delete the original photograph layers and then merge?
@JenDigitalArt4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment! You don't have to delete the original photograph layer, you can just keep it hidden when you merge. When you merge layers, you'll end up with what you can see - so you can delete the photo if you like...or not - it's up to you. Hope that helps! :)

Thank you! So glad you like the style. I'm not too familiar with the mobile version of Sketchbook. As long as it has LAYERS and similar brush sets...then... I don't see why not.😊

I love your tutorial but wont this be considered tracing?
@JenDigitalArt4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yes, it is a bit like tracing, but I made this video to give some inspiration to beginners - to demonstrate what can be created digitally with these brushes & techniques. Hope it also gives inspiration for creating artwork without a photo to trace, although there is still a lot of skill involved in creating art using this technique.😊
