Recently decided to hunt down one of these. My first rc was a special buggy. I put that thing through hell as a kid. I had a bunch of rechargable batteries for it thankfully

If you find one, buy it! Especially the hydro one. I got one for free in 2016, it sat outside for many years prior, deck in great shape, blades all rusted up, wd-40ed it, freed it up, put some gas in, started on yhe 2nd pull, and it's been like that ever since! Quality mower

Can you put in a sealed wall in the basement. It’s for a kitchen sink
@ErikAsquith2 ай бұрын
No, not in a sealed wall. However, you can put it in a wall behind an access panel that will allow air flow to the AAV. The AAV will need airflow, as well as access, for when it needs to be serviced or replaced.

@@ErikAsquith I shouldn't use the primer and glue on rubber couplings?
@ErikAsquith2 ай бұрын
@@joshuastarcher4272 Are you referring to a "no hub coupling", like Fernco? If yes, correct, you should not use primer and cement on the PVC pipe and no hub coupling joint. A no hub coupling uses a mechanical bond by tightening metal straps to compress the rubber hub around your PVC pipe.

What would happen if the cement was a lllllittle jellylike and you used it anyway? Asking for a friend 👀
@ErikAsquith2 ай бұрын
The chemical reaction that fuses the pipe and fitting together may not work as it should, which can result in a weak joint, that could have a greater chance as failing and leaking. But then again, it may be good enough to not fail and leak.

For someone who doesn’t know about chokes and switches i came to KZbin to find out how to start this trimmer. I personally need to know what position the switches need to be in to start it. Someone please do a video on this. Thank you!!!! Sorry but this video was zero help to me. I can find out the same info you gave in this video by standing back and looking at it.
@nahnahphoon2 ай бұрын
Prime, flick on your choke switch, try to start it, if no start or slight start and shut off, turn your choke back off and pull again, might need a slight bit of gas while starting with choke off. If it starts with choke on, let it idle until it sounds like its dying down, then turn the choke off.

Is it necessary to install a vent on plumbing pipes evacuating water from a sump pump? Thanks!
@gregorywhite20633 ай бұрын
These Evinrude/Johnson 2 HP motors are notorious for overheating. Replacing the impeller may NOT solve the problem. There is a water pump retro-fit kit that can be purchased that will solve that problem.

Others seem to say the thread tape should go on clockwise to tighten with rotation. If I understood the video, you recommend counter-clockwise. Is there a benefit to one direction over the other?
@Mark-EFMB-Combat-Medic3 ай бұрын
I have tried many screwless faceplates, but this one is superior to the others I have tried. Sine this wall plate mechanically (screws) to the threaded portion of each switch or receptacle, they are perfectly aligned. Due to this design, the switch plate ties the switches or receptacles together into a single unit which I believe makes them more stable and secure.

I never used primer and always used up cement even when jelly like. I also firmly joined sections but never held for 30 seconds. I would turn pieces a little. Results after thousands of jobs? Never a problem. Where? On yard sprinklers including tapping water main and assemblying manifolds. Also did same thing in installing soft water systems. But if I ever join PVC again I will follow and do as this fellow has done.

Oatey also sells "All Purpose Cement" in a red can that seems to be much thicker and cloudier. I was concerned that mine had gone bad (even though it was new) until I found this video of the same product that appears to be the same as mine: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bWXKiXRme6t8jKs . Does that make sense, that there is that much variation between Oatey products? It would be nice if they made cans that seal more easily and reliably. It seems ironic that they are in the business of assuring tight seals, but their own cans often need to be thrown away after being opened, presumably due to not being tightly sealed.

Wow! Thank you thank you thank you. I can't like this video enough! My pump had been plaguing me for years, with a low flow rate and running for 10min plus every cycle. Turns out it was the check valve this whole time. I took the hose off and poked around with a Q-tip from the top side pulled a bit of black material out and now it flows like a dream, and drains the entire reservoir in 30 seconds. I don't have access to it to remove the unit, because AC lines were installed in front of it. What does the check valve do, prevent back flow of water?

Great video, thanks! ... I dissasembled, cleaned and my pump runs (L.G. 20 ULS). 1) Is it normal for the pump to shut off and leave 1 inch or so of water in the resevoir tank (at all times essentially)? Meaning, it never fully emptys the tank, correct? 2) Is it normal for the clear rubber tubing to be full of water when the pump stops running? ... Mine runs for 20-30 seconds after filling it up. Most of the water is expelled outside the house (tube runs UP about 6 feet and ACCROSS the basement approx 10 feet), but the tube is full of water after the pump shuts off and eventually air "bubbles" move through the tube (gravity doing it's thing). I'm guessing this is normal, but I never had a reason to pay attention. lol
