Hey! I love all of these, you opened my eyes to a few I'd never heard of. Sadly they were mostly in January so I'm too late lol. I'd like to just sneak in a little tip for a readathon I was part of last year that was so elaborate and had like 50+ prompts. The "Read the Olympics" readathon where you pick a country and a sport to compete for, depending on how many prompts for that sport you read you can get bronze, silver and gold medals! It was great :)

I also have my readathon which takes place December 1 and goes until the end of February called The Legendary Readathon 2.0. There are 18 prompts. The challenge is to finish all 18 prompts one book per prompt. If you can finish all 18 prompts/books in a month, you can truly call yourself a Legendary Reader. 😀

I will start January with Friends and I will continue with some of the others. Also there will probably be a 1000 doors readathon as well in October or November (or maybe earlier) due to the high success, it's also a 1 month readathon.

Thanks for doing this again and mentioning March Mystery Madness. I totally forgot to do this earlier, but I did just submit the info for a new 4-day annual readathon that I started last year in early February called the Little House Readathon relating to Laura Ingalls Wilder. I can't wait for RYBSAT and am excited to be a cohost this year. Have a wonderful 2021! BTW, March of the Mammoths Readathon is about reading mammoth sized books (800 pages or more).

Thank you so much!! I'm thrilled you are looking to join your first readathon, and in terms of one to start with I would probably suggest one that it a little bit shorter so you can get a feel for it (unless one of the month-long ones really takes your fancy, there are some super fun ones!). I think it would also be really helpful to find a readathon that has a hub for participants to interact with each other - it’s way more fun that way! By this I mean one with a Goodreads group or Discord server. I started out by participating in the Dewey's 24 hour Readathons - no reading challenges so you can read whatever takes your fancy and they have hourly content on the website including mini challenges, surveys, giveaways etc. - they also have Goodreads, Facebook and Reddit groups. Some others that might be fun include Buzzwordathon (they have a Discord server) and Read Your Bookshelf-a-thon (they have a Goodreads group). Honestly it’s hard to narrow it down, but I hope this helps!
