Stopped buying it is crashing in certain areas

I responded to a flyer which stated 'we will buy your records, try us!' I emailed a list of my LPs, researched on Discogs. They called to say they weren't interested.

To be honest, I have about 30 records. But they were from a used shop. And I paid about $1. for each of them. If I want a new album, I will get the CD. 📀 And let's be open about this. There is NO competing with digital downloads now.

The vinyl shortage two years ago caused the same amount of stress and aggravation as the gasoline shortage of the 80s? What are these words stumbling out of your mouth?

Nice vinyl collection, i have about 3000 records you can never have them all. I'm at that age if i run across a record at a yard sale or estate sale i will pick it up.

I have to say I'm quite surprised when I receive a very dusty record. But it is extremely satisfying when I clean it 😄

Just stick to a trusted seller online and regularly check their stock. That's what I do. There's usually a couple of records from my wantlist that show up every month. No grading or listing mistakes and you get nice discounts for your loyalty. I don't get the LP I want exactly when I want it but it's a patience game, and it's fun to see what shows up. At least I'm no longer disappointed.

Thanks for showing us around. VHS wasn't that long ago really but rare to see them here these days particularly the decent stuff. I miss the sound of putting the tapes in/out, FF RW etc.

New vinyl for EDM is $40+ Many releases used are 100-1,000 from UK etc. Mind you it's not stones, Floyd, or Beatles. People can't understand unless they understand the genre, the dj and importance of the tracks. I buy for cover I can display as well. I'm debating which albums to get and 6 of are 25-40 + shipping a combo of new and used.

So because there are a few bad sellers, the whole vinyl market is dead?? Doesn’t make any sense.

I'm 50/50 with record stores. and Amazon. Discogs is a joke!!! ebay is ok with trusted sellers. I love re-issues (NEW) it's rare that I will buy anything used anymore. I buy to listen. 2000 + albums without over paying for anything ( well maybe 1 or 2 LOL!!).

Im a full time vinyl dealer street vendor. Never bought or somd a album on line

Forgot CDs. When my Amway business takes off, I'll be able to afford record albums.

Maybe it has to do with how someone defines "psychedelic," but I am so surprised that Soft Machine's early materials, esp album #1, aren't included by anyone. And maybe he's just too "main stream" for most, but I gotta put "Third Stone from the Sun" in there somewhere. Thank you Jimi. Seriously -- no Airplane?? Thanks.

This was a lot of fun and it looks like you favored a lot of the moodier tracks which I love myself. The Freeborne at the top, big one! Sold my reissue in the hopes of finding the og. And I loved that 2 WCPAEB tracks turned up. One that comes to mind off the top of my head is "2069: A Spaced Oddity" from US 69's "Yesterday's Folks" or "Panis Et Circenses" by Mutantes!

Great video, although as you might expect we all have different choices. You could have said ‘Pink Floyd Piper at the Gates of Dawn … The whole album’. I would have chosen Black Butter by the Strawberry Alarm Clock as a top 5

That’s a fantastic list. My top pick would probably be "Little Neutrino" by Klaatu. It gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it.

Fabulous list Dan..what a trip!..loved them all and a few of my favourites too..Mobius Trip, Lucifer Sam.. Hung Up on a Dream, Land of Diana I was playing WCPAEB the other day, Vols 2 and 3, hard to decide which i prefer between the two..although Eighteen is Over the Hill is probably my favourite of theirs. Always good hearing anything from United States of America..thought you may have gone for The Garden of Earthly Delights there. I'd love to find a copy of Behold & See..even a reissue!!. I am happy to report that I have most of those (as re-issues). I'm going to try to find copies of some of the ones I don't yet have. I'm going to have to listen to United States of America again - I've never been a big fan, but it sounded really good in this video. Thanks for showing the records!
