What a wonderful buffet! So much variety. And, getting two adult meals for the price of one is such a fabulous deal--particularly for high-end cuisine. Sounds like the Carlton should be on the destination list of every foodie traveling to Singapore in 2024. Thanks, Vincent!

Actually you are right though, black pepper Crab is more commonly found. Not so much for white pepper

Bearing gifts; tossing the Lohei accompanied by auspicious phrases, then sharing the meal; and playing games together are such beautiful ways to give and receive blessings with family and friends. Thank you, Vincent, for sharing these traditions with us and for writing such a lovely description of them. I often wish that Americans had more family-centered cultural traditions. We are generally a culture of people with individual pursuits and family members are often separated by distance or choice. I smiled to see your lovely family enjoy the time together. As the youngest child of a family with much older parents and siblings, I have no family left. So, I really appreciate your suggestion that we cherish our time together. Your videos are getting better and better, imo, Vincent. The audio has really improved, and I like this more "up close and personal" format. I'm glad you're able to juggle YT, work, and family life, but I know it must be difficult at times. Your passion will carry you through. I love your special place. I worked in Washington, DC, USA, for many years and know how important it is to have a quiet place to get away. All the tropical plants remind me of living in Hawaii as a child. Really lovely. Of the onigiri you chose, the unagi would be my favorite (if I ate meat). Yeah, cream cheese and rice sound pretty bland together. 😆 Thanks for another fun video!! 👍

Loved this video, Vincent! Historic Thian Hock Keng Temple was lovely and a nice respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. The food looked delicious--so fresh and pure. Thank you for the chopped chili tip--I like heat but too much can be overwhelming. The Avocado Soyashake looked like the perfect, refreshing end to your meal. I'm a huge fan of avocado too! Looking forward to seeing your special, quiet place in the next video. 👍
