It depends on the flight time - not sure what the exact cut is, but flights to Japan / Singapore will get the upgraded meal. Shorter flights to Taiwan, Thailand or China will get the economy class meal

Their new seats are an upgrade from the old seats with more modern features. I think they are good, but nothing too wow about it

Cathay is deploying this new jet on short haul routes at the moment. The new seats will be available on long haul flights from 2025 onwards. It will take some time unfortunately

If you fly BA First into Heathrow again with some time on your hand, try the Concorde Breakfast Room in Arrivals. Book a cabana with a bath tub. That feels like one level of luxury further.

Probably one of the most enjoyable part of my experience. I always know to book a long layover in T5 so I can grab a shower in the incredibly comfortable surroundings of the cabanas. I always look forward to the journey back for it, and afterwards heading to the cone for some Eggs Royale, then the terrace for great views and cuppa, before heading to the bar, where they will make you up every cocktail I've managed to ask of them so far.

Thank you for your review. I’ve booked Club Europe next summer. Heathrow To Chania for my husband and I. I have probably paid way too much for what you get however as it’s a 4 hour flight each way I wasn’t looking forward to one of us having to sit next to a stranger so I feel I can justify it 😂

I had the best Flight Attendant in the world on an Emirates long haul flight in first class. Her name is Leila Gallego, and she is from Argentina. I’m a former flight attendant with two airlines so I know what the job entails. She is simply the best FA that I ever had on any airline!!!

24:28 Breakfast was served as a second meal as they’re still working on Swiss time until they land. Remember, you’ve just woken up from a night sleep, so breakfast is the next logical meal. I have to say, I have also found it a bit strange to be eating breakfast when landing at 5pm…. They do serve lunch (or a “light meal”) on daytime flights. Swiss does offer caviar, but you have to time your flight right. It’s only during a two week period each year as part of one of their quarterly Connoisseur Experience in First Class (and only for flights originating in Zurich, as far as I remember). This was in February/March in 2024, though I’ve had it in May a few years ago. I think it’s better than Lufthansa’s, as you get three different caviars, including one produced in Switzerland.

While I agree it is not pleasant to find "leftovers" from a previous passenger, the whole "disappointment" "washing away with champagne" vibe was a tad too too drama.
