Hangtime is greater with the regular CORE XR 8. Therefore, if you land using heliloops, I wouldn't buy a size smaller than 9.
@filipdvoran76665 ай бұрын
And buying a size 12 for this kite (XR PRO) doesn't make sense.
@filipdvoran76665 ай бұрын
Not everything you say is true. I personally have that kite. I am satisfied with it, but that's another matter. You don't feel any significant pressure on the bar, even far less than with the regular CORE XR 8. The kite is faster, more agile compared to the Core XR 8, and very stable. Because it is very easy and precise to control, I could easily recommend it even for beginners, but considering its price, it would be a shame, as there's a risk of damaging the kite, which is common with beginners. Super kite.

Someone told me Nafpaktos is very good for beginners - is it true?
@JustGoKitesurfing6 ай бұрын
Hey there! Nafpaktos is ideal for beginners. Very light chop, steady wind and shallow waters. The best of all is that it's not crowded at all. For more information you can reach out to the local school Wind Circus. Check the video that I made exclusively for Nafpaktos. You will get a better sense of the spot and conditions

It is wether hidden nor paradise - it is dirty, the rocky beach is no good for your kites and the wind is very gusty. No chance against Sardinia!
@JustGoKitesurfing7 ай бұрын
😂😂😂 sounds like you’ve never visited the place. Dirty it can be during off season but the local community puts a humongous effort to clean up for the season. Rocky? Gusty?? Where did you see this? The wind is the most stable you will ever find. Looks to me like your purpose here is to promote Sardinia. That’s ok 👌 Share a link with us to a video. Show us how great kiteboarding is at your local paradise. It would be great to visit Sardinia. The intention here is not to compare but show the kite community options for an amazing kite trip. I stayed in Nafpaktos for a year and for me it was a paradise.
@Nilz4FR7 ай бұрын
@@JustGoKitesurfing Not promoting anything. I have just been kiting & traveling full time for the last 15 years. Been in Nafpaktos several times. The beach is definitely no highlight, people camping there leave lots of trash behind, the pebble rock beach is not good for kites and yes the wind is VERY gusty. Drepano was nice but always very crowded and I would prefer Punta Trettu or Neretva. See you around. Cheers!
@JustGoKitesurfing7 ай бұрын
@@Nilz4FR promoting was a heavy word I agree :) The trash is left by the Gypsies. They find this corner as an easy way to discard their trash. My experience after a year kiting in the area is very different. I had maybe 2-3 gusty sessions in a year. Keep traveling and sharing cool spots to visit. Any specific spot in Sardinia?

Is it that better than the regular Xr?
@JustGoKitesurfing8 ай бұрын
Yes definitely. The XR8 9m that I was flying was much slower especially how it climbs to the top of the wind window from a kiteloop. I didn’t feel confident with the XR8. The are certainly different kites ;)
@romanroschi36117 ай бұрын
In my opinion on the XR8 it reqlly depends on the size. 8m and smaller loop and climb nice, 9 and 10 Meter need more precise steering for loops. On the other hand I think you get a amazing Kite with the XR8 for much less money than the pro and also a good looping kite from sizes 8m and smaller.
@JustGoKitesurfing7 ай бұрын
@@romanroschi3611 I couldn’t agree more with you! I have the 7m and 8m XR8 and love how they loop ➰🚀 The 9m didn’t get me confidence for tricks + kiteloops especially on choppy Dutch conditions where the take off is not always perfect. Also had the XR7 10m.. loved the hang time but loops were sketch 😅😅
@romanroschi36117 ай бұрын
@@JustGoKitesurfing exactly, I think a lot of reviews forget to point out that on the XR8 it depends on the size and they just say they don't loop nice and they do loop nice from 8m down. But you are absolutely correct, 9m and above are hard for technical loop tricks. But really like your reviews🙌

Kiteloop boardoff is my goal tricks. Cracked the lateback last year, it's now my favorite trick! How did you learn the kl boardoff? I'm 100% on boardoff by the fin, but can't reach the handle. I think it's harder by the fin ?
@JustGoKitesurfing7 ай бұрын
The trick is to raise your board to your hands to be reachable! Kiteloop board off by the fin it’s Much Harder!! For kiteloop board off: Step 1 - do board offs with the front hand Step 2 - kiteloops with one hand, especially the landing Step 3 - kiteloop board off and then controlled crash.. that’s how I approached it. Sorry for the delay in the response. I missed the comment!

How do you repair the leading edge seeing as its welded?
@JustGoKitesurfing11 ай бұрын
I met with Hans from Harlem kitesurf shop to ask about this and basically under the leading edge you have a stitch line across the LE. It’s slightly more work but you don’t touch the pro welding.. you don’t need to in order to access the leading edge ;) I can upload the explanation from Hans (kite repair expert) in a private link and share with you if interested.

Cool review with up and downsides. Nice variation of tricks, nice to have a oppinion of somone of your level. Personally I think I would not like less bar pressure then the Orbit, its already super low. Thanks!
@JustGoKitesurfing11 ай бұрын
Thank you! Orbit pressure is more than Harlem but still way less than XR PRO. The big difference is that when you have pressure on the Force it comes with loads of power which is awesome! With orbit there’s more pressure but not the same power. Again it a matter of taste and preference not about what is better :)

I bite the GoPro directly! It’s easier to fit in my wetsuit front compartment! With the mount it’s impossible to fit it in my wetsuit. I have also seen a mount for the harness where you can park your GoPro when not shooting.

Super good review...i think the valve is a really downside but would be easy to fix with an soft neopren like a "cap" for the valve which other brands does. Or of course but a extra layer of dacron or better 2 layers ;). Of course for a kite in this price range it shouldn´t be like that...overall super nice kite a looks like get very close to the orbit or cabrinha fx2 what i see.
