Such a sick, sick video. are sick. Do you want to put her out of business? Is this regulated by law? This why we have laws to protect our self's from the Karen's of the world. If it's not regulated - What do you expect? Cancel culture, plain and simple. People do this sort of thing to gain power.

I agree her videos are not true to form but to be fair she is just really entertaining the media and bringing to the fore about how important Bees are to our Eco system. Anyone who is contemplating starting bee keeping will research the system prior to beginning. I am a keeper and suit up to the hilt every time I go into my hives. But I love to watch Mrs Thompson’s footage despite her choice of clothing, hairstyle or initial preparation before filming. It’s her choice what she wears and her fault if she gets stung. I’m sure she has had many hits. We are not sheep, we all do things our way and don’t copy others. The queen Bee in her pocket maybe is In preparation but also when she found the colony to be queen less went to get the caged queen but basically just making the video more streamlined. Cutting out all the unnecessary footage. She isn’t portraying to be teaching us. There are so many more forums that will do this. I like her.

Very informative and a great alternative to buying the powder from bee supply stores at 10 times the price. I found your video after reading about feeding protein to bees on Randy Oliver's web site. Lots of beekeepers don't feed their bees at all and some feed sugar syrup only. However, protein is extremely important to most life on this planet, including bees. A colony that's unable to bring in sufficient quantities of pollen will undergo stress and the queen will slow down her laying of eggs. So called "natural" beekeepers (bless their hearts!) will argue that real bee pollen is always the best, and they are right. If you have collected pollen from your own hives and it's fresh (can be frozen), then that's always preferable. However, many of us do not own the luxury of a pollen trap, so then a man-made protein such as the one you're showing here will be of great help for the bees. Great video, thank you! And remember guys, well fed bees are happy bees! 😉🌺🐝🐝🐝

So, an attractive and feminine bee keeper gets attacked by a lumberjack. This is a natural thing, and pretty typical from women who see other women as competitors. I don't understand why other women have to jump in. I guess Texas is seen as the top of class. As for men, there are male beekeepers working without equipment too.

Thank you for making this video. I have watched several of her videos over the last week and found them very calm/relaxing. Was pondering how it seemed most all the videos showed pretty much more docile bees. Not really realistic in hindsight but glad she is doing rescues, nonetheless. I don't ever see myself doing something like this but it is most admirable for all those who truly are saving and preserving our precious bees.

You comment on her videos saying, "She doesn't have tools with her." How do you know what is or isn't out of sight? I like her videos because they are short, sweet, accurate, and to the point.

Goodday lady. That supercedure cell has a queen to be, in there(assuming it is sealed). If I remove the cell, let her develop and use her in an other split, will that be the correct thing to do? Actually it is my intention to harvest all the "queen cells" I can and use them elsewhere(preventing inbreeding). You're knowledge will be appreciated. I thank you,Cobus🐬

I know my hives are not particularly strong, 4-5 frames of brood, maybe 7 or 8 frames of bees tops, it's a dearth time right now, so I'm feeding sugar water and patties and they washboard. I'm not sure if that narrows anything down lol?

Most of it’s staged. Yes the equipment is not visible. It’s a video. They are reducing air time. No issues with the way they film. The problem I have is she is based in Texas. Africanized honey bees mainly make their home in Texas, Arizona and California. I question doing removals with no protection. I don’t know how she is getting away without getting at least one sting. I lived in Canada for a few years and had bees there. I could go without protection. No Africanized bees there at that time. I now have bees in Arizona and California. I would never do a removal without my full suit. Plus I requeen those hives. I don’t think she would want to go into one of my feral hives without a suit after I’ve removed them. They are nasty. People that live in areas where Africanized bees don’t exist don’t understand how dangerous they can be. I have run across some that were calmer than most but I never trust them enough without my suit. Let’s just say I learned my lesson the hard way. My bees in California are in an area where other beekeepers have their hives. Some are not requeened. We can suit up by our cars when we arrive. When we leave we have to drive a half mile away to take our suits off. They would eat us alive if we tried to do it there. Again I don’t have a problem with the way they are making their videos I just question the non protection approach in their area.

I am a pianist. I have outstanding training, as do many of my colleagues. All of us are trained to be able to handle ANY repertoire, no matter the difficulty. The listening public has no concept of comparative level of technical skills, but most of the public knows that simply WANTING to play a Rachmaninoff concerto with orchestra doesn't mean it's gonna happen, nor should it happen. We insiders know, of course, which of us really are at the top of the technical heap, and some of us are indeed able to make performing look like a walk in the park. For me, the greatest virtuosi deserve congratulations, and a drawing of the collective breath as the "great ones" ply their trade. My own opinion of Erika is that she is probably on the level of a bee whisperer. I applaud her great skill and her calm, understanding demeanor. That doesn't mean that I believe she is encouraging me to work with bees without equipment. No, sirrree! She has put in the work, and understands bees, and if I may say so, the bees realize it. Erika has all her followers for a reason, I congratulate her. I see nothing to criticize.

I am not a hater, you asked for a comment and open discussion unless you deem another thought disagrees with your way of doing things In TB videos Erica does say in most of her shoots that " this the way I prefer to remove them" maybe this is a team effort their system of removal In the past 10 years I have learned that animal do think plus they have a bee hotline telling that Erica's them posses no threat and react to danger On my feed a few days ago Erica was on Joe Rogan he message was clear this the way I do it.. By the way, she didn't bash any other Bee Keeper If I can sense your hostility the bees can also Remember we "ALL" connected to each other
