Rail corridor is an excellent example of proper cycling infrastructure. Just wonder why the entire stretch of rail corridor is not completely paved. We need more of such rail corridor to be connected throughout singapore

Your comments about food are quite funny.. I live right now in the US after spending around 2 years in Singapore and I have never had the same standards in terms of food than in Singapore.. All options confunded (Luxury, casual, fast food, hawkers etc..)

Riding a bike on Singapore roads is a suicide mission. It has got slightly better since I'm here, but I avoid wherever I can. Drivers are impatient and behave as if they own the roads.

I think so. Apple Pay seems pretty universal/international. Just keep in mind that some credit cards charge international fees.

Thank you for making such a nice informative video. I have been thinking about moving to Singapore, but I was just wondering how the healthcare system is over there? (I ask this, because the healthcare system over here in the U.S. is severely flawed and broken, especially with the price of prescription meds being so expensive.

Maybe the food taste a little off is because we usually try to adapt the food to local taste. I saw the same comment from China Chinese people in Singapore that commented the Chinese food here isn't the same as China's. A mala store owner said in his interview that his mala wasn't selling well in Singapore until he changed his recipe to match our local taste like less oily and salty etc.

<>< The United States has many problems, but most of them lack clear solutions, so they remain unsolved problems. However, one major problem that has a clear solution, in my opinion, is the US tax code. Please note that this is not a general complaint against US taxes, on the contrary, I personally believe that as a US citizen we get a lot of benefit from the taxes we pay and the IRS does a pretty good job of keeping everything in order, but it's a rail against overly complex, convoluted and incredibly inconsistent laws about how taxes are calculated that are so riddled with loopholes and free passes that they have become a pervasive injustice to ordinary Americans.<><
@Aless.D Жыл бұрын
<>< The solution: Throw away the tax code and come away with a much more simplified (but not necessarily different) tax system, mostly by removing most of the exemptions and exceptions that benefit very, very few. (In fact, although I'm no expert, I would estimate that 99% of the existing tax code does not benefit the 95% of taxpaying US citizens.)>>

<><Building a great future will require making changes in your life now. Whether having a bright future means having a family, a well-paying job, or getting into your dream school, it's the things you do today that affect your future. You will need to plan and make deliberate changes in your life. We all have to win to overcome recession and inflation. In my role as a financial planner, I serve clients with varying income levels. But my goal is the same for everyone I know. I want to help wealthy families continue to build wealth while helping young families achieve their financial goals. Your investment creates a safe haven for the future and helps you through the economic crisis<><

><I learned most of these principles about seven years ago. Many people have been strongly trapped in the Matrix: going to school, getting a job, and then being slaves for life. Many are missing out on life-changing information that could have a big effect on their finances. I played the stock market in 2020 and was surprised how well it turned out. I want to put $80,000 more on the market. I hear people are making great returns despite the recession. Recommendations?<>><

As Singapore has zilch natural resources or land, they need expats as they bring the money and the skill. Incentivise them with low taxes then raise it to them at a later date. Use then discard them, that's the strategy

@American in Singapore.. spot on about the convenience. We are from India but living in the US. Even after ten years here, I still miss the ease and convenience in everyday life. If you get a chance I recommend you going on a trip to India. Shops right by houses, extensive public transportation options, endless varieties of food, and hawker shops almost everywhere, of course public relation is so much better in India.. there is real interaction with people which we miss here and definitely the weather for us.

I seriously don't know why anyone would want to singapore other than for convenience and security. Place is small and can get boring as hell after a few weeks. Not a lot of nature. Rent is high, eating out is expensive. Id rather spend my hard earned $$$ on other SEA countries with better beaches and food where my 5kusd a month can go along way.

The Founders have preserved Malay as a National Language, to keep our neighbor from going bersek. If we had Chinese as NL many chauvinist would like to relate them to Communist China. Hence, English was chosen to be the working language because it is not their mother tongue among the 4 races in Singapore
