@@noesph1637 yeah i am upset as the yiming belt was being replaced as preventative measure against precisely this happening while i was driving. Cant do much else except sit tight and wait for the car at the end of all this.

I am glad I found this channel. The first Twwingo is my favourite car. No idea why they went to boring designs with Gen 2 and 3. I wonder how Gen 4 with the electro twingo will look like 2026 if Renault really pulls through. At the moment we only got the concept.

This little car makes most people smile; it makes a few people giggle and it even makes some people laugh . Look at the front; the headlights wink at you. Everything is pretty and cheery. I bought one in France 4 months ago ; 2002 model and it still goes like new ❤❤❤❤

Water enters through the ignition coil packing. The cause is the upper cowl top. Water leaks from the gap and falls around the spark plug. I have taken countermeasures. From Japan

Very interesting. When I plug my topscan in to my twingo it can give me live data, and one of those is the litres left in the tank.

yes I have a similar device. The ODB computer will simply take its reading from the resistor matrix on the fuel sender. i've had a car where the fuel sender got stuck due to rust. Said it had 30 litres but ran out on side of road.

Hey Rob, I cannot send you an email at all. So, I am contacting you here, hope you don't mind! Hey mate, I just got myself a Twingo RS Gordini FL (2013). Would you happen to have any tips and tricks for these RS? Do they suffer from the same "problems" as the pre-facelift models? I appreciate any help you can provide. Looking forward to your reply, Greg

The renault 1.6 16v lumps do suffer coils and need sparks at same time, if my memory serves me correct they are never 100% smooth at idle anyway. Think it is just a charactaristic of them engines. Renault scuttle issues are present on every model in their range lol.

I've got the same issue with cylinders 3&4. Whoever replaced the coil pack on 4 put the securing bolt in too tight and has sheared. I was a bit reluctant to to use excessive force on the spark plugs in case it did snap. But seeing as I need to get the manifold off to sort the coil pack retaining bolt I'll leave it until then.

I had same on cylinder 4 coil pack retaining bolt. I tapped it out and then installled a 10mm bolt not an 8mm.

My son has a Twingo GT, and your channel has been a great help to us. The LCD display on the dash is faulty. It works fine when started up, but as the car warms up, the display fades to virtually nothing. Any ideas what’s causing that?

Had my 133 for 5 years. Had a mifiring 4th coil and the 4th spark plug snap in the engine not long after i brought it. So this video was interesting. I'm guessing as i have since used it everyday the heat from the engine has prevented too much water pooling up.

i do have the same problem with my twingo rs and i made myself a little engine cover out of a plastic shelf and pluged the drain hole on the plastic piece right above the hot point. it gets the job done but it definetly isnt pretty. I bought o tub of basic bathroom silicone sealer and im going to use it on it. but ill have to fight it every time ill take those pieces off...and on a cup chassis its pretty often...she eats suspension parts every year
@dxtr3166
@dxtr3166 8 ай бұрын
another problem that is in this category is that the wings are open at the top and she just collects leaves and other stuff...for someone that keeps their twingo outside, we have to take these plastic panels off at least once a year to prevent rust
