Nothing can save it. It's still a turkey, and the music at its best, is terrible. Why anyone thought it would make a good musical is beyond me. There's nothing 'musical; about it.

this is the best version i've heard so far. and his voice sounds pretty good here. it's very touching in its baritonal ordinariness. after reading mary rodgers' "shy", i can't help but think these songs come from his relationship with her (the same with the musical "merrily we roll along".

Truly extraordinary I never saw it sung with that sultry seductiveness at the start .... she made that song completely hers - I never believed in competitions as to who is the best but Ms. Clark, as always, is ahead of the pack

According to Bernadette, the composer Lionel Bart was dealing with a serious drug problem when he was working on this show and almost never showed up. One day she says the director came out and said "There's one thing bothering me," and her costar Larry Kert said "Yeah, it's called 'La Strada.'"

I was Rapunzel in our local Theatre's production of Into the Woods and to this day it is still one of my favorite roles I've ever played out of the 30 some the musical Productions that I've been in! What a treat to have been in multiple Sondheim musicals and been able to sing such beautiful Complicated music! Some of my other roles have been pretty similar to the character of Rapunzel such as Cosette in Les Mis and Meg March in Little Women ❤️

Look, you can take away my gay card but if you put any BP video on mute one wouldn't be wrong in thinking that any random Drag Race contestant would be less histrionic and more believable. It all looks so surfac-ey, and that's my biggest problem with BP. She's so clearly acting, and poorly at that. No subtlety. And it just destroys the beautiful songs.

I have seen so many productions of Gypsy over many years and I can't even imagine anyone tackling this role and forgetting to act. Peters is God's gift to the musical....but not in this role. There were so many things wrong with her performance, the primary being that she did not seem to know that Rose is very funny.

I saw the original Broadway production about a month after it opened. It was a SCREAM....everything was so new and unexpected. The humor was on point, the performances fresh/original (Joanna Gleason OWNED the stage) and the production was sharp! Such a great piece of theatre!
