Truly extraordinary I never saw it sung with that sultry seductiveness at the start .... she made that song completely hers - I never believed in competitions as to who is the best but Ms. Clark, as always, is ahead of the pack

I feel like most interpretations and performances of this song, it’s sung straightforwardly, without pretense or irony, just exposed and vulnerable. But here Victoria Clark performs it just barely hiding behind a sultry torch song facade. Barely masking her woundedness. I find this so much more compelling and interesting. And beautifully performed.
