Yes, there are lots of beginner friendly slopes, but the weather is often foggy with poor visibility which makes it a bit more difficult

Just foot spas at the Hells / Jigoku I'm afraid! If you want to go Swimming, look up the "aqua garden" in Beppu, it's the biggest & best place to swim and it has ana amazing view!

You can still climb Mt. Fuji at night! But between 4pm and 3am you will be required to reserve a mountain hut / officials will check that you have a reservation. Prior to 4pm you can still set off without a hut reservation I believe.

Thanks, Ashley & Theo, another enjoyable Ja-vlog. Okunoyu does look amazing. It's 4⭐..., but I'd still love to check it out some time . 🐖💰😬😄 Seen the Aso caldera panoramic from the top of Kishima-dake _in spring_ , everything green, and it's _awesome_ , so yes, it's an amazing part of the country (especially if you happen to have an interest in geology and volcanoes, like _moi_ ) Would love to take one day that road you took to climb _out_ of the caldera, but _going in_ (the entrance from the west side on the train is quite spectacular) 🙏

What time do the markets open and close in Shinsekai?
@wegoeastАй бұрын
It really depends, each business will open at a different time. Restaurants etc will likely open around 10 or 11 and close around 11/12 but some are open 24 hours! market food stalls will be open earlier, around 8 or 9 and close around 6, other shops will open around 9/10 until 8/9

I went to the Okamoto Gion store last year! The ladies were so professional and quick in getting us dressed! The obi my mum initially picked didnt work out because there wasn’t enough length after wrapping so they changed one for her that worked. It was like $75SGD for the Nagoya Obi plan after tax but it was worth the price tag.

How far are each hells from each other? Is there a bus that takes you to each place? Thank you !
@wegoeast2 ай бұрын
So there are busses you can take: 16, 16Aリ, 29 But the busses are very infrequent and will add a load of time to your journey. I'd highly recommend renting a car if possible as you're not bound by timetables and can nip between places very quickly. Beppu is surprisingly big and public transport will add hours of journey time to your days!

3:24 a Japanese farmer here. I lost my driving license due to drink driving recently, and Im banned from driving for 2 yrs. I drove my car while I was in hangover condition, on the way back home from my friends house, I was about to prepare a breakfast for my son. Fortunately I didn't cause any accident in that day but my breath alcohol level was over the limit. However, the breath reading result was 27 μg per 100 ml of breath, which is under the limit of your country's law. I am not trying to say drink driving is normal, and drink driving may leads accidents. but I just can say our country's law is ridiculous.

how long would you recommend to spend there? half a day?
@wegoeast3 ай бұрын
Id recommend a full day if you have time, you can have a more relaxed day exploring. Also Miyajima can get very crowded in the early afternoon. If you're pressed for time and travelling from Hiroshima, you could get to Miyajima early (say 9:00am) do all of the sites in the morning and be back in Hiroshima for lunch, but this would be a too quick in my opinion
@dickwintered3 ай бұрын
Get there early before the hoards of crowds come in, do all the touristy stuff out of the way, and when the crowds come in (from 11am onwards) go up the hill. You can do all of it in half a day really.
@kevinhardy89978 күн бұрын

I also like Miyajima very much. A few years back hiked to the top of mt Misen and then through the back to the Tsutsumigaura nature park (holiday park, really), which was weirdly empty even though it was June. Had a lovely little swim there with my friend and then hiked the coastal road back to the port, just a lovely, memorable day. (the views from mt Misen to the Setouchi sea and all the other islands around are hard to beat) Thanks for sharing, WGE.

Any recommendations for Kobe Beef places? In Kobe? Any that you would go to and aren't too touristy. But also fairly central
@wegoeast3 ай бұрын
Yes actually, our go to Kobe beef spot is called Kobe Beef Koujyo (you can Google maps it). It's a v nice non touristy place with prices to match, but as its a special meal its 100% worth it. You need to book online in advance (use the Google translate extension on Chrome to assist). It's less than 5 mins walk from Sannomiya Station so it's SUPER central. Avoid steakland, it's the ultimate tourist spot (but the food isn't that bad to be fair)
