Did Pakistani MiG-19's actually carried air-to-air missiles in 1971? I doubt that.

Sietzer or another became an Ace started flying in August 44. By that time it was already 50-1 in the air. The fact you could even survive is incredible and just landing or take off was a nightmare

It's sad to watch the vast beautiful land turning into war zone & wasteland, instead of being used for farmland to build strong economic source to feed the Ethiopian people. Let's hope peace will prevail in the region to the benefits of the Ethiopian & Somali peoples.

I love your videos. I was wondering if you could also add the type of dogfights which was performed during the battles. For example, rolling scissors, vertical yoyo and etc. Then explain how those dogfights look like in animation.

Were there RAF Harriers embarked and why don’t they use those instead? The sea harriers can be used for CAP.

The assets used in this reenactment are not 100% historical. Impala is represented by MB-339 as the closest available aircraft in DCS World which is the platform in which the video was done. There's no need to comment on this as it's not a mistake. Also, some details were not historically accurate either due to the difficulties of AI behavior. The video is rather old and I hope to make a better version someday.

That is not the right model for the impala that is the Aermacchi MB339 impalas are based on the 326

The F-4 was the last plane my grandfather flew in his USAF career (incl. WW2 and Korea), although not in combat. I remember seeing them up close as a kid in the 1970s when he took me to Bergstrom AFB after his retirement. Thanks for posting.

Assads have never been legal presidents but communist ruthless dictators who made slaves out of their nation, serving themselves to Soviets and later russians, today relying completely on Putin, a war crimer, as their only patron.

That war is not ethiopian and Somalia. Western countries used to use ethiopian and somilian nations. The war was between the USA and Russia they foolish us. Again, now the same thing Egypt back to somilian.

Iranian F-5 was at least as good as the majority of Iraqi fighter aircraft which included various export models of MiG-21 and MiG-23 and even older models like Hawker Hunter. And definitely a menace to any Sukhoi and/or Tupolev strike aircraft.

The Iranian Air Force (lacking spare parts for their planes and etc) flew 4,000 miles and significantly damaged the H3 base, destroying at least 34-40 Iraqi planes. The Israeli Air Force attacked the same base three times, but despite only having to cover 30% of the distance the Iranians flew, they were not as successful in causing damage during their attacks as the Iranian Air Force did during just one attack. This operation is one of a kind in the history.
