I remember in the year 2004 you needed a high-end gaming PC with a fast CPU and dedicated graphics card (something like a Radeon 9800 Pro) in order to play the game at high settings. A PC like that would weigh like 20 to 25 pounds (9kg to 11kg) and cost like $1300. Now a little $35 raspberry pi that weighs nothing that fits in a pocket can run it just fine.

It's a great concept but sadly it's priced way too high. A modern MB is around 100 USD and this board is 300 USD, simply priced way too high for what little it will do. PC parts are exuberantly priced these days and a modern ITX MB and Low End CPU can easily be had for under 300 USD, probably including Memory too. Granted there won't be a very high demand for this board but still the high cost is not justifiable. If you price something right it will sell but then again if one has more money then braincells they won't care what the price is. I grew up on this old tech, as my first PC was a Tandy 1000 with an 8088 Processor and a 300 baud modem so I'm behind the nostalgia all the way. My first ex wife probably still has that Tandy 1000 as she does not like change LOL... Again this is a great concept, it's just priced too high for what little it gives, the ROI or Return on Investment is outrageous. It's great how it incorporates the older sound technology, especially for older games, but at over 600 USD it's just priced way too high. By the time you add in the CPU/Processor, sound card mod, GPU, and whatnot, it could probably get close to 1,000 USD and then it's just a complete waste of money.

I'd be interested to know the graphics settings... it looks sort of HD but with absolutely no anti aliasing. It's very interesting to see Half Life 2's scalability because it looks absolutely nothing like this on an actual pc

A single slot low profile gpu and a flex power supply would make for a considerably smaller footprint. A Radeon Pro or maybe an RX 6400 would make the most sense. That said, using an x86 sbc would probably make more sense too, haha.
