Yep, it does need one :-) You can slide the battery in from the side

Hi James, I found you via your blog articles on installing Windows on a Mister setup, thanks for those, I'd like to try that for a project I have in mind. Wondered if I could ask your advice: I have some old digital cameras circa 1996 with internal memory and serial connections to old PCs or Macs - no removable memory cards. I have the cameras, the cables (typically 9-pin serial) and the original driver software too, but I don't have a suitably old PC running 3.1, 95 or 98 and which also has an old serial port. Do you think I could I get this working on the Mister 486 core (I have a Multisystem)? Thanks!

Thanks for the kind words :-) Some of the cores do support a serial interface, so yes this technically possible! You may need to run a small program on the Linux side of the MiSTer to bridge the serial traffic. Is there a specific camera and model you have in mind? Happy to do a bit of research here

Where did you get that bottom plate for the stock DE10 Nano? Mine didn't come with it.

It thought mine came with the plate, but that was a long time ago (2019) :-(

The cooler is regular orientation, but I threaded the bolts through from the back because it was easier to tighten that way :-)
