There no such thing as "lies" in magic. It's "verbal misdirection." 😂😂😂

It would be fun to do a improptu magic somewhere like a resteraunt while sitting at a table wating for your food and you had no intention of doing any magic but, just out of boredom you want to keep yourself occupied at your table while waiting on your food but you have no props or gimmicks. Imagine doing like 10-15 tricks just with a straw and it's wrapper in a perfect routine from magic from opening the straw, using the wrapper to to final tricks ultimatly destroying the straw. Do you know any magis with using straws? I know charging the straw with electricity by using the paper wrapper making it a magnet to pick up little scraps of paper, basic straw up the nose and out through the mouth, and the string through the straw and cut the straw and restore the string trick, and the telepathy trick by blowing on the straw. Do you know any straw routines? or have any recommendation? Thank you for your time. I love your videos, I am new to this and I think I'm addicted to learning magic now thanks to your KZbin channel. I have a small case with some gimmicks in it that I'm learning with but 'd like to try to learn thinks where I don't really need to carry many gimmicks around with me. Card tricks are cool however I get a little annoyed being that I have small hands lol.

This live broadcast was a fitting tribute to Jon. His kindness, wisdom, and generosity live on through you, Doug. He'll continue to inspire and shape the magic community for years to come. I'm grateful for the incredible tricks he shared with us, a lasting testament to his enduring influence, especially in the realm of card magic. One of the most intriguing "underground" tricks by Jon is "In the Pink Sync", a unique creation built around Larry Becker's "Last Two Cards Match" (better known as "Will the Cards Match"). This routine, published on his website circa 2000 and later republished as "Sync Ho" in his ebook Grifty Business Memes to Quicken (2001), is not your typical card trick. Instead of just five pairs, this routine matches seven half-cards in an increasingly impossible manner.

I asked ChatGPT how long, on average, it would take to become proficient learning a cup and balls routine to the intermediate level. It said 3-6 months with consistent practice (20-30 minutes/day) to perform confidently among friends. Do you agree?
