Over the next month or two, I'll be reviewing some of the basic topics I (may have) previously covered and this is one of those (hoping these better quality lessons will reach evergreen students for years to come) Anyhoo, yeah, that's the scoop and I hope ya enjoy

Hi Doug, I'm a big fan of your teaching -- interesting, instructive, and funny. Clearly a labor of love. I've been working with the Hamman 2-as-4 count (aka DM count), and I wondered: what's the best way to keep the three-cards-as-one from spreading? --Thanks -- Bob

I just made a set of 13 double sided cards to make up a Dazzle packet as instructed in volume 2, thinking it used the Elmsley count. I didn't realize I was wrong until it came time to perform the routine, then I had to dive back into Volume 1 to refresh myself on the Everchange. 🤦♂️😂 I couldn't agree more about his being a genius, though.

Thanks Doug. Great trick. Ill add it to my 4 card monte repertoire. Question - I do the elmsley pinching with my left hand and pulling off with right. You seem to do the opposite even though you are right handed everywhere else. Have I missed something?
@DougConn8 ай бұрын
I do the count with both hands / both ways, but there’s actually some advantages to counting from the right hand into the left (using the base of the right thumb to disguise indices when showing cards twice… This lesson might need to be for another tutorial!)
@reuvengershon66258 ай бұрын
OK thanks Doug I'll take that into account. Love your work.
@MegaGavinski7 ай бұрын
Are you left handed, Doug? I’ve tried to follow this through and for me it feels more natural to pass the cards from left to right.
@DougConn7 ай бұрын
I do the count both ways Counting from right into left has advantages & so I advocate that path

I do not understood why the preferred way of doing the Elmsley count involves the left hand pulling cards off the packet in the right hand. Isn’t it more natural for (most) right handed people to pull off the packet in the left hand with the right hand?
@DougConn6 күн бұрын
Counting from right to left offer some advantages (in concealing the (duplicate) indices using the base of the right hand thumb) Also, I recommend learning the with both hands
