Take a break from the knuckle busters and enjoy this easy, but flashy, sandwich trick. This one has been in my repertoire for over 40 years & I use the “3 Card Catch” in many routines. I hope it serves you as well as it served me
Bonus: In addition to “Quick as a Wink” and Muller’s “Three Card Catch” I briefly discuss Mike Rogers original notion of doing a “Coin Sandwich”
if you have any questions, drop em in the comments: I read them all and will happily answer you there.

Nice. Played all kinds of variations of this back in the day. Most important lesson to take away from this is that presentation, the narrative you add, the way you play it out with your audience, is everything. That's what makes the magic happen. As you know. 🙂

Ahhhh, everything old is new again. I use a variation of this and it blows peoples minds. Might I suggest another fun one, "acquaintances" from the Jay Sankey DVD boris pocus. This was the first time I ran across this sandwich effect but for all I know it maybe in print elsewhere or a spin off of it. For me, it checks all the boxes of what I love in a sandwich effect. No gimmicks. The audience can examine and shuffle the cards all they want which afterwards can lead to a DS and with that a deck of your choosing, of course. You make a prediction, oops wrong, magician in trouble scenario. Kicker ending they never see coming. I have a great storyline that goes along with it. It only uses one sleight that I got rid of and turned it into a "self working" trick that blows right by them.

Doug, what card magic tricks would you recommend for somebody who has suffered a couple of strokes and can only use a thumb, and two fingers on his left hand, but has complete control of all digits on his right hand?? I am getting decent at the Elmsley count and was thinking about poor Charlie Dinkle to learn. What are your thoughts on magic with 1.5 usable hands??
