I’m not sure if you’ll see this since this video is older but I thought I’d ask anyway. Do you think you could use any essential oil in the pigment or is there something about the clove oil that you find works better? I’m only asking because I have a few essential oils at home (no clove), but I would hate to waste the pigment if you’ve already tried it and found that that didn’t work. Thank you for your informational videos and for showing step-by-step what you do!

Hi Kate! You’re welcome. It’s a really good question, I know that clove oil works and a lot of essential oils with anti bacterial properties work to - something like, tea tree or citrus based essential oils. Ylang-ylang did not work but you can use a combination of them along with another essential oil too. I hoping this helps

Do you have any advice? I've made water colours, exactly as shown, using my own binder with all the ingredients listed and followed your recipe. When they dry, the liquid is all vanishing and left with half a pan of just mica 🤔
@crafterine21 сағат бұрын
Hi ! Yes, the paints shrink as they solidify in the pans. You are doing it all right, there’s not nothing to worry. All you need to do is , after the first layer dries, add the paints in layers and again let it dry completely in the pan.

What is the quantity of binder in grams as compared to 50 grams of total powder content ?
@srh4utube17 күн бұрын
Can Gouache paint work directly on brush or first we need to mix a little water to paint for smooth brush strokes ? Gouache are thick cream consistency paints, so is it adviced to use directly from the jar/pan/tubes ?

Have you considered using a coffee frother to mix the Gum Arabic with the water? Do you think that would work more quickly to get the lumps out?

Do you lose the color shift if you mix two color shift pigments together?
@crafterineАй бұрын
No you don’t lose the colorshift property of the pigments, but you would definitely come across a unique colorshift when you mix them, it maybe hard to predict which shade you would end up with but they turn out to be beautiful anyway

@crafterineАй бұрын
Thank you for your kind words 😍. It’s called a glass muller. If it’s hard to find, you could always use a coffee tamper, candle holder with flat base or even a sanded acrylic brick

@crafterineАй бұрын
Hello! I’m an Indian too 😍. I used a watercolor binder to mix the pigments together, you could find my watercolor binder video here if you wish to make one. If you would like to get a readymade one , you could look up for gum arabic solution

Is the white powder you use the same as the iridescent shiny powder for nails...and does it have shades, or is it another powder? I'm trying to find it in Aliexpress, but I found many types of powders like White Mica Pearl Powder or Iridescent Bulk Nail Glitter Powder White!?...Idk
@crafterineАй бұрын
The one I used is an iridescent colorshift powder, yes the same that is used for nails too. But they aren’t pearl powders. I feel Pearl powders reduce the hue of the Color Shift pigments , so I didn’t mix them together here

This paint after it dry can be reactivated with water like normal gouache?
@crafterineАй бұрын
Yes, it can reactivated easily. I tried pouring a little into a glass jar to verify if it gets dry, however it seems more like jelly gouache consistency, it didn’t dry completely so far for me.
