From the looks of your videos, the mica powders seem to be easier to mix/ scrape and transfer to the pans than the pigment powders, is that right or do you have different ratios for mixing the mica powders that makes it easier to handle?
@crafterine Жыл бұрын
That’s true. It’s easier and quicker to make paints with mica powder.

Hi, I was wondering if you sanitize your containers before putting paint in them. If yes how do you clean and sanitize? I am wondering for myself. I bought little Cosmetic pots but not sterile.
@crafterine2 жыл бұрын
I clean them by soaking it in a bucket of soap water and let them dry. It has helped me wash away all the dirt out of them. I don’t really sanitise them.

Please tell me can I use crushed chalk instead of pigment for paint making?..coz pigment isn't available in my area 😢😞😫please tell..
@crafterine3 жыл бұрын
This is something that I'm planning on trying out and come up with a KZbin video. Crushed chalk would work for gouache I guess, I would go for soft pastel sticks.

These are mica pigments made by chemical companies and broken and grinded to fine powder. I don't really think those can be made at home :). You can always make regular watercolors using earth pigments like Ochres. It's cheaper that purchasing Mica powder.
