So did Sevchenko, but he managed to stop himself from doing exactly what Visari warned them would create. Velasquez, I'm sorry to say, was a trigger happy fool that ended up making things a lot worse for the ISA as well as the Helghast.

To add to this, Rico was specifically and directly warned to be careful with Visari at the beginning of the game. On top of that, he killed Visari in the absolute worst way possible (Unarmed high value prisoner with zero physical hostility killed for essentially mouthing off). Had Visari gotten violent, or actually did something to directly provoke Rico then we wouldn’t hate Rico as much, especially with Sev trying to keep a lid on Rico. Also Rico’s “I did what I had to do” line at the beginning of the third game doesn’t help him. It shows he has zero remorse for the Hell he just brought upon them all in retaliation for his sole, unilateral, cold-blooded murder of a detained prisoner of war (ironically like the Helghast do in the games).

@@conorcahill5422 wouldn't Rico have had PTSD? i'm pretty sure the main motivation behind him such a reaction was because of the fact his platoon had been wiped out (leading to an intense hatred of the helghast), and seeing the death of Templar. heck he even (possibly) killed private richards because of him insulting templar for his sacrifice. do you think after having witnessed such events, hes gonna have a calm reaction to the man responsible for the army that had killed his platoon, and his closest friend?

@@MohammedKin99 To follow along both your points, I totally agree that Rico had some issues from even the first game. This is also why I was infuriated with the third game’s direction when it came to Rico. It made it seem like Rico was right to kill Visari given how Narville was (rightfully) treating him. On top of that, every argument Rico had with Narville put Rico in the right. The same guy that landed everyone in that spot in the first place, right in every argument, despite also giving dangerous orders of his own. An example is when he orders the Raiders to rescue Narville. One of his troops questions the idea, and Rico says “Noted, we are doing it anyway.” So Rico seems to only care about the chain of command whenever he is in charge, and even then loosely since his own troops disobey his orders at times. It also doesn’t help that Narville in the third game, the same Narville who rolled up on Visari’s door like he owned the place in the second game, suddenly takes zero risks imaginable.

I think that he sees him as just a cog of the enemy warmachine. Thats why he repeats his rank every time. Its kinda like reminding him that he is a tool.

The sudden lapse in command and scramble to reorganize and deal with this sudden threat left them vulnerable while still under heavy assault.

​@@nikita228Rus я в таком возрасте проходил killzone 1 и как же я сама сходил от геймплея. Помню как радовался играя в killzone с другом на разделенном экране. Мы тогда могли целый час стрелять волны противников. Сейчас до сих пор первую часть запускаю,но в основном когда друзья приходят. Ибо мультиплеер тока в этой части позволяет играть на одной консоли. Хороший ретро шутер. А вот killzone 2 killzone 3 периодически тоже запускаю. Это совершенно иной уровень.

Counterpoint: Have a Killzone 3 where Visari is captured and the Shadow Marshals have to clean up small pockets of resistance around Helgan using questionable means. War is mostly over, but hatred on both sides hasn’t simmered down in the slightest.

It only makes sense if the villain is a warlord of warrior of some kind. Scholar Visari was a politician, he has no power on his own. His power comes from all the people behind him.
