What I really like is that Visari doesn't hate Sevchenko. He asks for his name, regards him as a person instead of just an enemy. Visari knows that these soldiers too only fight for what they believe in and have their orders to follow.

I like the ending because Sev, after walking away, probably knew inside that Visari was right. That the madness would most definitely begin after Visari's death. And what do you know the first wave of helghast ships begin coming in.He just looks so fed up with it all sitting on the steps. Like why even stress it? It's going to be nothing but even WORSE hell for them from now on, so take let me take a breather and let what just happened sink in.

I must say, not many games capture the true essence of war like Killzone does. Players playing as I.S.A. troopers depicts that they have o follow orders, even if hey don't like it.. It also depicts victor's justice, and sums it up with: Who ever has the biggest stick wins. Sad huh? I personally believe the helghast had good intentions, but they executed it wrong. You know what they say though. The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

jullian rangel The war was entirely self-defense, and retaliation. They took Vekta from them. They replaced the Helghast there with their citizens. They persecuted the Helghast to every end, they starved their people by bombarding them with massive fatal embargos, all because they wanted to be free of the corruption the Colonial Admins brought. The Helghast overcame all of this, and fought back against corporate tyrants. Until the very end. That is their crime.

The Helghan Corporation buys Helghan, a resource rich planet, and the Eden world Vekta. The move most of their employed to Vekta and the rest to Helghan for mining. They are also very close to the home solar system, granting them fast distribution of resources and other market advantages. They developed a monopoly and the U.C.N. takes notice. They impose extreme taxes on the Helghan corporation which, in turn, begins taxing any ship passing through their territory. The U.N.C. demands the halt this behavior at once, they refuse, and the I.S.A. is used to blockade them. Seeing this as a direct violation to their deal with the U.C.N. Helghan retaliates with its private military and conquers most of the solar system. The I.S.A. barely manages to hold on until the U.C.N. fleet arrives. The Helghan forces are slowly defeated and the Helghan corporation forced to surrender. The U.C.N. removes the in place government and replaces it with a regime aligned with the U.C.N. Many employed are forced from their land and homes as loyal colonist from off world arrive. Some people begin an insurgency to force the I.S.A. and U.C.N. off world. In retaliation, the I.S.A. and U.C.N. go to inhumane lengths to weed out the insurgency, often described as draconian in nature. The abused and oppressed Helghan employed pull together their money, acquire the old colony ships and basically abandon the world as its under a strangle grip from the U.C.N. and I.S.A. Helghan has long term health threats that plague the people. Helghan experiences growth after some time but collapses due to economic instability. I.S.A. offers foreign aid but the bitter and weary people of Helghan refuse any help from them. Many people mutate and lose hair and pigmentation in their skin, a rare few don't need breathing apparatuses. Helghan experiences a revolution as Visari's regime takes hold. The country reorients itself around military might and the objective of retaking what's rightfully theirs. This leads to the second extra solar war. Vekta launches an invasion fleet with a nuclear payload. The fleet is defeated and the payload captured. Having played into the Helghast hands, Vekta is invaded by 2-3 millions Helghast troops. There is, reportedly, minimal civilian casualties in the invasion but many cite the intro to KZ1 to counter claim. Many don't tend to noticed the ammunition pouches attached to the thighs of some of those engineers, which leads me to believed the were military engineers. The invasion is repelled and the events of KZ2 follow. A token fleet is placed to lure in the 1st wave of the invasion, headed by Fleet Commander Templar. This is because the Helghast know Templar would have access codes to the nukes they captured. They are ambushed by surface to orbit arc cannons. The codes for the nuclear payload are taken and the I.S.A. is torn apart. The capital was evacuated and a nuke used to wipe out the I.S.A. in it. Remaining I.S.A. forces go for a hail Mary and capture Visari to use as a bargaining chip. Rico kills Visari right as the evacuation fleet returns from evacuating the capital. Events of Killzone 3 & Shadow fall follow...

@@redknight344 I’m not sure what to tell you sir. The Helghast were _arguably_ the aggressors in the First Extra Solar war. During the second war, in which the first games cover, it was undoubtedly the I.S.A. That isn’t to say the Helghast didn’t want the war but that the Helghast sympathizer General Adams forced the ISA to be the aggressors to give Helghast the excuse to invade. The Helghast probably did harm and kill civilians as Killzone: Mercenary shows a diplomat and his wife killed while their Helghast body guard defends the diplomat’s child.

You breaking into the throne room caused a collapse in their defensive line. One of their main commanders on site is dead and the very thing they are trying to protect is under threat. The sudden lapse in command and scramble to reorganize and deal with this sudden threat left them vulnerable while still under heavy assault.

Мы тогда могли целый час стрелять волны противников. Сейчас до сих пор первую часть запускаю,но в основном когда друзья приходят. Ибо мультиплеер тока в этой части позволяет играть на одной консоли. Хороший ретро шутер. А вот killzone 2 killzone 3 периодически тоже запускаю. Это совершенно иной уровень.

To add to this, Rico was specifically and directly warned to be careful with Visari at the beginning of the game. On top of that, he killed Visari in the absolute worst way possible (Unarmed high value prisoner with zero physical hostility killed for essentially mouthing off). Had Visari gotten violent, or actually did something to directly provoke Rico then we wouldn’t hate Rico as much, especially with Sev trying to keep a lid on Rico. Also Rico’s “I did what I had to do” line at the beginning of the third game doesn’t help him. It shows he has zero remorse for the Hell he just brought upon them all in retaliation for his sole, unilateral, cold-blooded murder of a detained prisoner of war (ironically like the Helghast do in the games).

@@conorcahill5422 wouldn't Rico have had PTSD? i'm pretty sure the main motivation behind him such a reaction was because of the fact his platoon had been wiped out (leading to an intense hatred of the helghast), and seeing the death of Templar. heck he even (possibly) killed private richards because of him insulting templar for his sacrifice. do you think after having witnessed such events, hes gonna have a calm reaction to the man responsible for the army that had killed his platoon, and his closest friend?

@@MohammedKin99 To follow along both your points, I totally agree that Rico had some issues from even the first game. This is also why I was infuriated with the third game’s direction when it came to Rico. It made it seem like Rico was right to kill Visari given how Narville was (rightfully) treating him. On top of that, every argument Rico had with Narville put Rico in the right. The same guy that landed everyone in that spot in the first place, right in every argument, despite also giving dangerous orders of his own. An example is when he orders the Raiders to rescue Narville. One of his troops questions the idea, and Rico says “Noted, we are doing it anyway.” So Rico seems to only care about the chain of command whenever he is in charge, and even then loosely since his own troops disobey his orders at times. It also doesn’t help that Narville in the third game, the same Narville who rolled up on Visari’s door like he owned the place in the second game, suddenly takes zero risks imaginable.
