AthleteX standars are 40 regular push-ups in a row, 2min bar hang and 10min mile, 10-12 strict pullups. Not far off from this video

Mile run for Jason was 6:30. It's on the white board. About 15 years ago, I used to host Tactical Strength Challenge. Brought by Pavel Tsatsouline. 3 events: Deadlift, Pullups, and Kettlebell snatches for 5 min max reps. Deadlift test your raw strength relative to your weight. Pullups measured body weight to strength ratio, and KBell Snatch measured strength endurance and VO2 max. I'm not sure if the challenge is still around. But, it's worth trying it out as a fun alternative.

Tim (and anyone who hosts him) from now on is going to get peppered for his dishonesty. As a veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan myself I can say I know a hundred and one bros just like him (with their inflation and lies) but they aren’t front and center making millions of dollars so, no, I don’t feel bad for him. Otherwise this would be a SOLID ass video Jason.

Should do a ruck next. See who has the faster 4 miler (or 6-12; however long ya see fit).
@anferneefigueroa76353 күн бұрын
Coming from the SOF pipeline, and still part of the teams, Tim should know kipping on those pull ups would not fly. SFAS, the instructors stand infront of you while you do them to prevent you from swinging or kicking. Come on now Tim.

The guy has lied about his entire career, why would he do pull ups correctly?

Agree 100% with all of this. Don’t just lift weights to get ‘big’ … lift to be athletic and strong and have speed and endurance. Do this and your body shapes will take care of itself.

Be wary of muscle mass longevity. It is a reverse causality modality and don’t take as gospel. For example The average life span of a body builder is almost half that of an average person.
@stuart7303 күн бұрын
I think body builders are a different category. I’m not surprised they don’t live as long because they don’t do the functional type exercise and it’s all about looking good in a mirror. Body builders don’t have lungs. I’d paid good money to see a BB run a mile. And don’t forget what the steroids do to them.

I’d bet a million dollars the average man can’t do these things they say every man should do.

Awesome video, I would add a squat and a hinge, but who am I 😂
Idk why people are comparing this to CrossFit. The format is more like a Spartan race. Completely different. It's focus is what CrossFit originally intended. A thing that everyone does when it comes to town. Like a Spartan Race, like a Triathlon, like a 5k run, like a Hyrox. You can't even name a "famous Hyroxer" and that's the point. CrossFit glorified their athletes too much and it scares the average person into not even doing it. CrossFit should've never made it about elite athletes, they should've stuck to their original plan and just make it something that the average every person can compete in when it comes to town.

Growing up, when we'd visit my grandparents on their farm, my grandpa always had to do his daily walk. It was probably about a mile. One time, he just took off sprinting as fast as he could (it wasn't that fast, but that man was well into his 70's, he might have been 80.). My brother was like "What are you doing!?". Grandpa reply's "If I sprint every day, I know I'll never lose it".
